According to this site, they need 60 games. Looks like they'll all still be prospects next summer

Sproul and Oullete are really pushing them up the list. Sheahan and Ferraro's resurgence also helped alot.

Nyquist
Tartar
Sheahan
Ferraro (suddenly good again)
Jurco
Frk
Marchenko
Backman
Pulkinenen
Peterson

Micheal St. Croix will be the x factor that takes the Rangers to the cup
And Musil is easily a top D prospect

am I doing this right?
You dont watch them play so I doubt it.

The Oil Kings are the WHL champs and are once again one of if not the best team in the league. Go figure that they have good players who are playing well.

Not as much as you, no. But damn us all for having watched Reinhart and didn't end up thinking he's as good as guys like Grigorenko and Trouba. Right?

Top 10

1st.Mika Zibanejad - 8.0B (center)
2nd.Jakob Silfverberg- 7.5 C (RW)
3rd.Matt Puemple- 7.5 D (LW)
4th.Codi Ceci- 7.5 C (D)
5th.Robun Lehner- 7.5 C (G)
6th.Patrick Wiercioch- 7.0 D (D)
7th.Shane Prince- 7.5 D(LW)
8th.Stefan Noesen- 7.0 B (RW)
9th. Jim O'Brien- 6.5 B (C)
10th.Nikita Filatov-7.0 D (LW) - had to put him in the top 10 prospect

I think this pool of prospect is considere as the deepest pool in the league. It's hard to compete againts such a team.

The don't know who he is, he should be on those lists. Smooth skating 6'2" 200 lbs d-man that is one of the best passers from the backend in College hockey. It will be interesting to see how much of his offense carries to pro, he isn't having as big of a year as I expected though this season.

Pretty hard to compare those guys and determine who is "better". They are all quite different. And really, its pretty early to be saying what's what.

You really dont know the first thing about Reinhart. You are just regurgitating what you have read from various sources. Its pretty hard to appreciate his game on a 4x6 screen on your laptop, if you have even watched him on that format, which I doubt.

Time to kill some of the home team bias here...

It's not the Jets

1. Jacob Trouba
2. Mark Scheifele
3. Adam Lowry
**** storm mix: Patrice Cormier, Scott Kosmachuk, Eric O'Dell, Ivan Telegin, Carl Klingberg, Lukas Sutter

Without even looking at rosters and specs, before the season began, Ottawa, Florida, St.Louis and Minny seem to have been the most frequent teams in people's top 5's (online, by analysts and so on...)
I'd put the Sens in the top 5 as well...which makes me wanna cry.

Nope. Love the Jets. Trouba may be my favorite prospect, but that pipeline needs work.

Ottawa's prospect pool has to be one of if not the most balanced in the league.

Almost everyone had them in their top 5. They're a lot higher then you think.

It is a testament to how deep the wings prospect pool is. For some good reading this is the best site for our detailed prospect reviews. Goes in a bit more depth. It is run by the guy that runs capgeek (a redwing fan).

http://www.redwingscentral.com/prospects/

You could I suppose add the following:

Almvist
Tvrdon
Jensen
Athanasiou (arguably isn't even in our top 20! and is having a monster year)

At some point these guys just become Corey Emmerton type mid range prospects (not worth noting). Though Emmerton has become a pretty good NHL forward in the last two years. We all thought he and Lashoff were destined to be waiver fodder.

I think Wings fans are afraid to start saying we have a top 5 prospect pool which is keeping us modest in the 5-10 range. In reality they have a case for as high as top 3.

I think you could definitely make a case for Detroit in the top 5. I'm not excited about losing guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg eventually, but God I can't wait to see some of these players in the next five years. Our system hasn't been this good in a very long time.

I would say:

1. Minnesota Wild: Dumba, Coyle, Larsson, Phillips.
2. Florida Panthers: Bjugstad, Petrovic, Matheson, Grimaldi.
3. New York Islanders: Strome, Reinhart, Kabanov, Nelson, Lee, Mayfield.
4. Edmonton Oilers: Klefbom, Marincin, Gernat, Musil.
5. Montreal Canadiens: Collberg, Beaulieu, Kristo, Tinordi, .
HM: Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks.
I took away the players that are with their NHL teams. Changes a lot... Except for NYI

3 Percy
4 Musil

6 Finn
7 Leivo
8 Reider
9 Colobourne
10 Lander

Pretty equal IMO, you guys have the edge.

But if we count everyone including Yak and Schultz, we have a better pool.
Finn > Percy... I don't know why, but Finn is probably our most under-rated prospect... Also, seems like you forgot Biggs? as he's a better prospect than Colborne who's a big boom/bust prospect at this point (I really hope he puts it together, but he's been up and down since T.O. acquired him...)

I don't know enough about edmonton's prospect to say who I think is better... just Torontos...

Philly is pretty weak.
1. Laughton

3. Gostisbehere
4. Noebels
5. Stolarz

Not a great top 5

maybe it's just me but it seems like alot of teams have pretty good prospect pools, while there are no clear cut "great" ones at the moment

Out of curiosity, how much love did you think the Blues would get?

Even if you don't count Tarasenko or Schwartz, we still have a pretty deep pool with Rattie, Jaskin, Schmaltz, Allen, Binnington, Edmundson, Hakanpaa, and Kurker. Probably not a top 5 prospect pool without Tara or Jaden, but still fairly deep.
