Brian Boyle

What would Brian Boyle be worth to any team looking for a 3rd/4th line center PK specialist who can score once in a while if the bolts in his neck are tightened properly.

What else would the NYR include to get ROR from Colorodo?

A lot more to get ROR out of Colorado...

I'd look at something around a Ballard/3rd and a C prospect for Boyle deal.

From the oil I'd trade any of our bottom six payers, a mid prospect (pitlick/marincin), and one of our two third rounders this year.

Who do people think has more value Stoll or Boyle.
I liked Boyle when he use to be a prospect with the kings and would love t ohave him back so I think my heart is in the way and it is likely that Stoll > Boyle.

3rd Rounder is what he will bring back. The Rangers should keep him. He's more valuable to the team as a bottom line player than a mid round pick.

If we were going to trade him, a 2nd rounder would be the peak. And i'd be ecstatic if we got that for him.

Disagree.
See he could be a late first, or a 2nd plus.

Not in this universe.

Habs would offer a 3rd or Weber straight up.

This is the same universe that had Nashville give up a 1st for Gaustad.

2nd, preferably in 2014 but I am not fickle or one of Lapierre/Malhotra/low key prospect + pick (3rd or 4th)

Totally different situations.

- The preds overpaid cause they thought it would put them over the top to win it all.
- Buffalo was a non playoff team and the rags will be in the playoffs. Any team that MIGHT be willing to overpay for Boyle, the rags might not want to help out by making a deal.....
- He isnt playing well, in fact I think he has been a healthy scratch lately.....

Also because DET had their 2nd rounder on the table for him, and NSH needed to top that or risk him being traded to a division rival. And they got a 4th back from Buffalo, so it wasn't a 1st for Goose straight up.

There will be a big market interest in a 6'7" shutdown center that hits, blocks shots and is a top PKer. Can't see a team that wouldn't be interested in him tbh.

I would do something like that. Would Jones be available? Or Pekham?

Me too. #4 C and move Campbell to #3 C or LW. How about Bartkowski and Cunningham/2014 4th.

If Gaustad can get a 1st, Boyle could do the same. But what about Bolye + 3rd/4th for a 1st from someone?

Boyle was worth about a 3rd rounder when Sather acquired him. He's grown tremendously since. 32 goals the past two seasons. Defensive specialist. Terrific team guy.

He's not being pawned off for scraps. He's one of the better bottom-line players in the league who's in Torts's doghouse right now. Doesn't mean Sather's going to move him for less than market value.
