Question for the stat junkies... Penguins record with alternative jerseys?

Can someone check the Penguins record while wearing the alternative jerseys? (powder baby blues)

Was curious if anyone out there had the data.. as I am not sure how to look up Wins / losses by jersey, haha.

I would be interested to see the home and road numbers too..

I could be totally wrong, but part of me thinks that it has below 0.500. Not to mention, Sid was concussed at the WC when he was sporting this jersey so I feel like they are just totally cursed.

#Pens are 30-14-2 in blue jerseys. They are 10-5 in these dark blue versions -SK

I remember this board blowing up at one point complaining that we always lose in the powder blues...after winning something like 7 consecutive games in them.

They retired them and then switched over to our current darker blue third jerseys that were first introduced for the 2011 Winter Classic.

Actually Sid was concussed wearing our current third jerseys, y'know the darker blue ones with the powder blue stripes.

However, when wearing the powder blue thirds (that were introduced in our first Winter Classic back in 2008) Sid scored the game winner of the '08 Winter Classic for us in a shootout.

Hopefully this is the last we see of blue. Tired of it.

Should be interesting to see what next years alternates look like.

Amen. When it comes to our team...**** the colour blue.

As for next years alternates, as long as they aren't blue or don't have the "pigeon logo" brought back...I'm happy.

With that said, I think it's time our home and away jerseys are due for an overhaul. Moreso than our alternates anyways.

To me going through 3 alternates in like 5-6 years is silly. Especially since our road and away jerseys have been the same since when...2007-08???

Enough of this jersey, all started at the Winter Classic and Sid's concussion, hopefully this is our last year with them

We're getting new alternates next year, so we'll only see the fauxbacks another 5 or 6 times.

You know, I'd honestly like to see them do the 90's Penguin logo one year, being that I grew up watching 66 wear it. Either that or the wannabe Rangers jersey with the diagonal letters.

I concur.

If we can't bring back the Cup era jerseys, then the diagonal "PITTSBURGH" ones will work just fine too.

I remember last year IceJerseys had a bunch of CCM 550 replicas of those diagonal Pittsburgh jerseys. I should have bought one but instead I waited too long and now they've been gone for ages.

Again as long as our upcoming alternates aren't blue or don't have the "pigeon logo" brought back...I'm happy.

As much as I'd like us to use the black jerseys from Lemieux's cup year as an alternate, I wouldn't mind if we were to stick with our current thirds. I like them. Heck, I wear my Letang one everytime I play hockey on an outside rink (heading there in a few minutes as a matter of fact, haha).

I do like the current thirds a lot, definitely one of my favorites. I just think if i had to pick a third, the Lemieux era hits home, and hey, we won a couple cups wearing those.

The diagonals? They were okay jerseys. The fact we're in the same division as the ****ing Rangers means that I wouldn't want them back, though. The other two times we've worn diagonal jerseys came when were weren't in the same division as the Rangers.

They own that design. Not literally, but that is their identity. That would be like if the Ravens started wearing their logo on only one side of their helmet. I never liked the two diagonal jerseys we've worn because of that.

If you're talking about the two jerseys that were disgraced with the presence of the robo-penguin...those are two of the worst jerseys ever worn regularly by a NHL team in my book. The white ones weren't as bad, but holy crap did that yoke ever annoy the hell out of me.

I much preferred the Powder Blues to our current Alternates, but I still don't really mind them that much. I actually really like that the Pens are Black & (Vegas ) Gold AND sometimes blue.

The blues are nice throwbacks to the early Pens' history and having a third jersey so much different than the regulars sorta reminds me of soccer kits. The Pens' jerseys are unique in a league full of main colors+BLACK as Alts.

But then again, i'd gladly trade in the current thirds for a Black & hopefully actual Gold jersey that could 1 day replace the current snoozefest regulars.

but then after a while i wouldn't mind seeing Blue make a comeback.

I don't know, like i said, I grew up watching the pens in those jerseys, so its sort of sentimental. And worst jerseys ever? I don't know about that. There are a couple really crappy ones out there, like the neon colored canucks jersey with the weird orb around the name.

Haha, then I respectfully disagree. We are running out of different types of throwbacks though, what do you suggest?
