He better be scratching Bouchard for other reasons. Hes the only player on the roster that has been on the ice for more goals for than against on 5v5.

Bouchard is supposed to be a playmaker and he has 1 goal in the last 10 games + 1 assist this year. He's not deserving of top 6 minutes at this time and he's useless outside of that.

He's been ineffective on the power play as well. He makes the most sense to sit down for a game or more.

Oh, and a quirky little stat and one of the reasons Luongo got the start tonight:

Luongo has a three game shutout streak against the Wild at home.

Heatley is next on that list of players who need to start scoring.

I prefer St. Paul Luongo to Vancouver Luongo.

Which is why he'll probably never start in St.Paul again while he's in a Canuck uniform!

i don't understand the "butch is ineffective on the PP" stuff that the sheep keep spitting out...okay, what if he isn't scoring or shooting or whatever...He is as much as anyone else. Also, anyone remember what the PP looked like without him? looked kind of like the last powerplay we had in calgary, that was usually us going and retrieving the puck in our own zone while still not getting shots off.

FWIW i'm for this scratch, because 5v5 he's a complete waste on the fourth line. Mitchell is a much better fit there. But the PP thing is really, really stupid.

edit: i'd be absolutely thrilled if the first unit PP scored a couple times tonight.

He won't start a game at the X ever is my guess. Unless we go into full tank/rebuild mode and trade for him to go 0-41 at home that year.

At this pace, the Habs/TBL game won't be over when the Wild one starts...

Boring game as well. TSN2 better show the game if it happens.

Can't wait!!

I say the Wild win 3-2!! Goals from Heatley, Suter, Setoguchi (assist or two for Granlund) !! Suter with the GW on a PP late!

Kuemper plays solid. Wild fans go home happy!! /homer
