We drafted one midget, and frankly, 5ths rounder from two years ago are usually not playing in the NHL.
Mac Benett over Marcus Foligno...

Is Bennett playing with the Habs at the moment?

And considering the above, how does the fact he's smaller than Foligno has any bearing, considering he ISN'T playing with the team?

Most of the late rounders are actually unknowns, so the fact that some Habs late rounders are unknowns isn't that much of a big deal.

Late rounds should be allowed to draft some big nasty players, not undersized players.

Am I in the minority here? I don't care for Moen. He clearly doesn't want to be an enforcer and rarely drops them. Why should anyone be that enamored over a 5-10 goal scorer?

you'd rather have bigger career AHLers, I see.

Late rounds should be used for guesses. Which includes bigger players. Or goons.

Kassian is still young and can still become a serviceable grinder/fighter! We could really use him but I doubt we'd waive any current player to make room for a 6'5 230lb guy.

Here's an alternative: Don't draft midgets.
The only "midget" on the team we drafted is Gallagher. Throw him out! He's useless!

As for Kassian? Good god no.

From last thread (now closed)...

'' Prust went after Komarov because Komarov was running everyone. You suggest he goes quiet and lets this go, when he was brought in a team that took the resolution of being harder to play against? Even knowing he was brought in especially to make sure opponents don't take liberties on us? Smart thinking. Sure is a real winner attitude to have out there.

If sissy Moen was willing to engage physically and actually involve himself in the play, it would already be much better. If we had an heavyweight, it would be even better.

But hey. shh... shh... let's let the opponent run us over... don't wanna wake up their tough guys.

How can a team have any self-respect and win anything with such an attitude? ''

My reply!:
I didn't see Komarov running anyone (gotta pay more attention, glad Prust did). By the way...I'm a Prust fan. We'd be even bigger wussies without Prust. Thought Leaf goons were getting revenge for Prust running around (because of the score vs Leafs).

my mistake! didn't go back to check but I see it now! cheers! (editing issue or re-posted by mistake?).

----------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------

Was good when we had Staubitz...good for games VS Leafs or Bruins. (not every game).

White, Prust, Staubitz.
This would have been enough for me.
Moen and Armstrong are there...but they may have retired early from police work. I'm a huge Moen fan (playoffs warrior) but looks like Prust and White are taking over the police work. Armstrong...not sure what he's doing? Bodychecks like he used to? not sure anymore...

Kassian? Yes please! Waive Kaberle to make room! He isn't being used anyway, and was brutal thus far as a Hab... too soff, too. So, why not give his roster spot to a guy that will play against teams like the Boouins and Laughs?

Moen just fought Crombeen...he's a fighter again!!
(and scored a goal!).

(trust me...we need Moen for playoffs as that defensive top 9 or top 12 warrior that doesn't get noticed for mistakes and does have a lot of heart...anyone remember his black eye? warrior's black eye...he's done a lot for our Habs...let's not forget that).

So???

That's like saying Kadri is a ****** hockey player because it took him 3-years to become a regular.

Or that Terry Ryan is a better player than Marc Savard cause he made the NHL first...

See ya Weber. We are overloaded with undersized DMen. If we need someone to take his place, we have St-Denis.

Please Bergevin, make the move and sign Kassian.
