Should his move down the third line be considered a demotion? Or is Therrien just trying to shake things up after the loss? Also, will he be seeing 2nd unit PP time?

Third line? I'd say the line with prust on it is the third line.

Depends who you consider the 3rd line.
Meant to shake things up. Pacioretty, IMO, had been the best forward on that line.

The second line is not the DD line anymore... We have only one real clear line and its our first...(Plekanec) the rest is just a crap shoot

Third line is actually the 2nd line as of late. Not really a demotion since he plays with Cole and Desharnais on the powerplay.

Actually, he's still on the 1st line. It's Desharnais and Cole who have been demoted.

the whole Patch/DD/Cole line has been terrible all year so he's just trying something new

Not a demotion. If anything it's a message to his linemates. I expect he'll do well with Galchenyuk.
Pac probably shouldn't be playing right now though. Just had his appendix out.
