Had this thought:

RT @FriedgeHNIC: Consider Dave Taylor as a possibility in Columbus. Worked with Davidson in St. Louis.

If that happens, might look to Taylor bringing in Andy Murray to be the coach.

Think he was being snarky. Every time I see fans from Canada complain about expansion in the American South, they inexplicably lump Columbus in with Atlanta and Florida.

Maybe Canada will start respecting them now.

Lawrence Gilman would be a great fit in Columbus. But they can't have him.

Spoke with Jackets prez John Davidson. He's NOT taking over as GM. Has a short list of candidates.
Dave Taylor maybe?

Finally! Great news for Jackets fans. Should be interesting to see who they bring in. Doubt it's Burke though. Not a big enough platform...and we all know how much he likes the spotlight.

Dreger says they might hire Jarmo Kekelainen from the Blues and formerly the Sens. Can't believe that guy hasn't been a GM yet.

No way JD brings in Burke, my bet is he tries to get Jarmo to come back over from Finland, and that would be great for the Jackets

it should have been done at least 2 years ago.
I really hope for Columbus' sake that they hire someone really good now. Davidson makes sense, he's done a lot for St-Louis. Burke? He would be a lot better than Howson that's for sure.

Too bad they let him completely destroy the team before letting him go.
