Kruger has stepped up his game big time this year. The fact that he's also blocking shots is a great bonus.

I'll take 0-0 end of 1. Ducks had a couple glorious chances.

We lead the shots department 9-8 but I think both teams played a lot better period than the stat shows.

Saad is the best 1 point player in the league.

as long as he continues to play like this i don't care how many points he has. defensively sound, drives the net, good hands, good speed, good positioning and vision. how did this guy fall to late second round?

OT: Nerlens Noel may have blew out his knee.

Um, I do. I don't want him to become Frolik 2.0. You assume he is going to bury them in bunches at some point. He's on the 1st line with Toews and Hossa, points will pick up.

He is doing all the right things. Lots of energy, and always goes to the net. Those breaks will start going in on a regular basis, if he keeps it up.

Kruger looked terrific that period, and really stood out, as did Crawford.

lack of finish. but that will improve. i was harping earlier in the year for stalberg to be playing on either the 1st or 2nd (still do think the guy needs more minutes) but the thing that that has impressed me about saad is he has been incredibly creative with the puck.

Kruger gaining confidence off the ice too. Looks much more composed doing interviews. This kid is a keeper. Total late bloomer imo.

Yep, dunno why he can't bury anything. Once he gets his timing up to NHL level he should be producing at a decent pace.

Ducks are playing 100% tonight. Going to be a battle on both ends.
