How the **** do we know? The point is it was a dumb fight, especially for a guy that's not really good at them.
Fights happen every game. Trying to factor their impact into the outcome of games is fruitless. "Momentum swings" from fights is terribly overrated.

I can probably see Markov getting more minutes than Subban but in no way should the rest of the D be playing more minutes than PK.. MT needs to get his big ****ing head out of his butt and play Subban more minutes. There's no way should Diaz be on the first pairing on the penalty kill over Subban.

It's similar logic that dressing a 6'5 goon and playing him 3 minutes a game will prevent players from being targeted on your team.
It's the same flawed logic, you're right.

I think there may be a conditioning issue with this team. Or maybe MT's system overworks them. They always seem to have a lot of brain fades, lazy plays or lose races for loose pucks in the third period and I've been noticing this for a while now. I don't think it is sitting on leads or complacency or a lack of heart.

Habs during the intermission.. "Moen won a fight to keep us strong, let's go boys"

Habs score a goal.

makes no sense.

Beside the fact that the officiating we horrid, our inability to close out a game is a HUGE concern. If they can't fix this problem ricky tick, opposing teams will start to assume they have a legitimate chance of coming back and play harder than they would against a team they have little chance of coming back against.

A big, shut down defenseman and a top line centre are still what this team needs. I love Gorges but he doesn't have the size to box out guys like Lecavallier or quick enough for stamkos etc. no knock on him, he's a true warrior but it is what it is. We're missing killer instinct and the ability to shut down another teams big, fast forwards.

The only thing that really angers me about this game is Therrien's player usage. Markov and Emelin look tired, yet Subban is STILL underused. Punishing Subban for mistakes despite him getting 2 assists while others are used regardless of their production... that end game management especially was not pretty.

I don't get this. I don't. I've seen it several times this year. I'm baffled.

There is a huge disconnect with this team that was not a good effort and with the last 4 games it showed more so tonight

Lets not forget that the 2nd and 3rd goals were fluke bounces. Tampa was lucky to tie the game in the first place.

Not the same as wilting against Buffalo for example.

''Not a powerhouse'' does not mean it's OK to blow big leads every 3rd game.

Perhaps it is flawed. I certainly think the goon one is.

I probably overstated the importance of that fight. My point was simply that he had no need to fight Crombeen and it was the second poor fighting decision Moen has made this year.

On another note, the second goal definitely is Armstrong's first of the year, not sure why it hasn't been changed yet.

Watch the last replay angle :

We finished last in the conference last year. Baby steps. The team is still playing better than expected.

#Bellletstalk for the people here with bipolar disorder

Can't understand why Moen is taking grief for answering the bell when TB were looking for a momentum shift, he played strong tonight.

Things that make me go , it's apparent from the GDT that Cole is the new Higgins. Can't get a break from the fans no matter what he does, some fans obsessing about everything he doesn't do on every play.

Oh yes, Moen scored a goal, It was meaningless of course.

Yeah, maybe Lecavalier did say it or maybe not but in the end, it didn't change a thing. Crombeen didn't take a beating, it was a boring fight, the fans were booing, it was IRRELEVANT for the Habs AND the Bolts.

A fight is to switch the momentum immediately, not after an intermission. We even scored a third goal. You think the fight still have any impact after that?
