I'd probably say yes to Zibanejad + Wiercioch.

I wanted Zibanejad at the draft before we tanked our way to 2nd last with the Anderson/Elliot swap.

Zibanejad is a good piece. He's extremely raw though but if he develops well he'll be amazing. Has a lot of good tools and is only 19 (maybe 20?) Wouldn't be mad if this was the return for O'Reilly.

Dreger says Colorado wants roster player and a top prospect.

From Buffalo-

Roster players: Stafford or Sekera
Prospects: Armia or Pysyk

Sekera + Girgensons for O'Reilly is a solid start

way too much imo. Z has first line skill. ROR has proven in 1 season that he can be a great 2 way 2nd line center. But he is not ready to be labled a great 2 way 2nd line center just yet. He needs to prove it for more than a season.

I get it, the odds are you won't draft a successful NHL player, but the Avs are the last team that should be scoffing at a 2nd after drafting O'Reilly and Stastny.
How many of them made an impact in the first year after they were drafted? How many were their team's top player in their third year from the draft? I'm not going to bet on finding one of those players, and I sure as hell won't bet on finding one within the next three years.

ROR has first line skill as well, and has proven a lot more than Z.

That's one of the packages I'd be willing to accept as an Avs fan.

What do Avs fans think he turns into, in his prime I mean. How much production would you anticipate? I'll be the first to admit, I haven't seen him play more than a dozen times, excuse my ignorance.

Like Girgensons as a two way center with size playing 3C. Would even throw in one of O'Brien, Hunwick, or Zanon to even out and open a spot on roster.
Not familiar at all with Armia's defensive skills though.
Both would be doomed in Colorado if they've had concussions.

Thats a pretty high price but I'd do it for O'Reilly, do we really still need to add though and how much? I would change girgensons to armia if that would help. Would add a Brennan or Adam as well

I think he could and possibly will be Bergeron 2.0 if he gets traded into the right situation.

Patrice Bergeron with 15 less points. I'd be shocked if he doesn't get a bunch of Selke nominations in his career.

Honestly, he got first line minutes just last year and lead the team in points and the league in takeaways (pretty sure, top 3 at least). Before that, he had two 26 point seasons on the third line, but played very well defensively. I don't see last year as a one time thing because of the fact that he's a very hard worker on and off the ice. I think he's going to continue to improve and could potentially be a 50-70 point Center with elite level defense. Us Avalanche fans looked at him as untouchable and thought he was a core piece in our rebuild. He's going to be a great player for a long time. ****.

I don't see too much more offensive potential. I think he'll consistently score between 50-70 points, usually 55-65. Great all around play. You'll rarely find yourself saying you wish he would have made a different decision.

I'm a Leaf fan who doesn't really see Gardiner being someone we should be having to move in this deal, unless it was straight up. ROR also would not really fit into our team all that great, right now, unless Bozak was moved in the deal (but I wuv him ).

Bozak/Mac + Percy/Biggs/Colborne/possibly Finn.

Obviously that offer would be outbid. Not much of anything to entice the Avs under your proposal.
