This takes some balls. I find it really funny. Not sure what I would do if he was my teammate though.

I've seen this before, this is a really old video... this is Tim Thomas the day he found out his coach supported birth control.

Actually, I guess the NHL equivalent would be:

only if it wasn't offside

So the sophomore couldn't even get them to OT with less than 3 minutes left. Maybe the senior deserves to be the starter then

Not sure where you're from but a lot of high schools don't have hockey teams, I find it weird that most high schools in Canada don't have one, but there's tons in states.

I didn't know what 'senior night' is either. All the best players in Canada generally play competitive minor hockey and then junior hockey, high school hockey is usually for players who don't want the time commitment of AAA and whatnot, but want to play for fun as an alternative to house league. It's not really a big deal where it does exist.

Did he perhaps have very little playing time and saw it as the coach ruining his chances at a career?

A guy like that doesn't have the mental composition to continue as a goalie. Maybe he can take up something lower-pressure, like checkers.

I don't have all the details, but he played for Farmington High School. It's not exactly a high profile team in the MSHSL.

Senior Night is a game to honor graduating seniors, so I'm guessing the coaches threw him a bone and let him start. He was probably ticked that he lost playing time during the season to a sophomore and decided to throw the game as revenge. He legitimately thought he should have been the starter.

There might be more to the story, as high school hockey can be political, but maybe he's just a bitter backup.

Unless I'm out of the loop, I doubt he'd have any plans to play hockey after high school to begin with.

Just read the comment under the video..

"For those who don't know the goalie in the video (who I won't name) is a senior and was pissed that he lost the starting job to a sophomore. His team (Farmington) was actually ahead 2-1 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd period when this incident occurred. Farmington would go on to lose the game 3-2."

What a brat

If he wants a future as a goalie, he's going to have to be mentally tougher than that. He's still young though. Hopefully he grows out of his brattiness.
