Good News: My German teacher is sick, so I only have 3 classes instead of 5
Bad Bews: "We don't have math tomorrow" Doesn't do homework. Has math.
Ugly News: Physics test where I don't know half the material

I'm good at interpretation, creativity and improvisation. Math is not for me.

I'm with Bob on that one. Always have been and always will. Writing and discussion over formula solving any day of the week for me. Also, physics majors always try to dump on poli sci and history majors and whatnot...I'll tell you remembering the date of this inconsequential colonial skirmish, which native tribes were involved and every other little detail is just as difficult remembering your formulas. And then we have to write 20 pages about them when we're NOT being tested.

I'm bad at analyzing literature, and at remembering things

But I still do good in math/sciences

For writing, I prefer writing my own things

It also just spans to tests and exams. If I don't know the answer to something in English, I can usually power through with enough intuition to get some points. If I don't know the answer in Math, I get it wrong. Too black and white for me.

I am extremely strengthened in the writing department. I am not that great at the maths though. I'm switching majors soon because I seem to be kindling and incubating my writing skill; both for creative writing and objective writing.

I'm pretty much the polar opposite of Bob.

I enjoy math and science, and grasp most of the concepts very quickly. Most of my daily thought processing is calculated logic, so those subjects are my bread and butter. I've only taken non-calculus based Physics, but I felt as long as I understood the concepts (as in, what formula is used for each type of problem), the class was just "plug and chug".

I've been told that I'm a good writer, but it is the furthest thing from natural. I take an obscene amount of time compared to others to complete my work, which is probably because I'm not particularly creative. If it isn't analytical or pure memorization, I have to devote plenty of time to do well.

With writing and any literary thing, it's a quick snap in my brain that turns my thinking on and I just go at it without stop. I was actually told by a few profs this and last semester that I should look into taking more classes that can help me develop my skill further because I excelled. I'm looking into that now because I foolishly chose a major I thought I'd be good in, but I just cannot keep up with the constant formulas and chemical concepts and these long drawn out math behemoths. I am not in any way mathematically inclined. I still went with it because it could make me a lot of money. Luckily I'm still in my first year, so I have some time left to organize my major/minor deal a little bit better.

Are you a Chemistry major? If so, I think that is a wise decision from what you posted. Now a days, a Bachelors doesn't mean much because nearly EVERYONE has one. It's essentially the equivalent to receiving a high school diploma a generation ago. A master's or some sort of post-collegiate degree is really what separates one from the pack (credentials, past experience and who you know aside).

Since this is the case, it really would be wise to do something you're interested in and excel at. I'm a second year Chemistry major and the difference between an upper level course like Organic and Gen Chem is like night and day, in terms of difficulty. If you don't enjoy and succeed at the subject, it's only going to get much worse.

I'm not a chem major, but I'm in a BS for psych, but the fact that I need to do rigorous amounts of chemistry and high calc (I have no clue as to why.) makes it hard for me to focus and to succeed because I'm always stressed out, and not succeeding to the highest ceiling I've got (other than in my writing classes...)
I get told from a lot of profs that I'd do real well in the writing areas, and similar areas to writing.

Mathematics is applicable to such a narrow domain.

Ah, ok.

Isn't it possible to go for a BA in Psychology instead? I've heard that even in the major science degrees like Biology and Chemistry that going for a BA instead of a BS won't really hurt your career prospects.

Yeah, but I was always told a BA is a joke really. So I'm stuck, if you think about it. Disappointment in myself for not going after what I want to do in life or no job because I probably won't get a decent one at all if I do what I want to.
