I remember HF50 saying pretty early in the season that he loved Tristan Jarry and preferred him over Fucale. Interesting to see Jarry rising and Fucale being questioned.
If Jarry's available after our first pick, grab him and don't think twice. We need more promising goalie prospects.
Outside of Simpson, Stan has only taken goalies in the 7th round. He'll probably have to break that habit to get Jarry, but you never know. Last May you would've been crazy to think Brandon Whitney would still be around in the 7th.
You read pall of one if those posts? I commend you for that.
Houston scores with 8 seconds left to make it 1-0 on Rockford
Goal scored by Johan Larsson and assisted by Jason Zucker. Big middle finger to Stan Bowman for that.

Last night Whitney got a shutout, stopping 27 of 27 shots in a 5-0 win.
Tonight the starter gives up 3 goals and gets pulled, so Whitney comes in and plays the rest of the game stopping 19 of 19 shots but they lost 3-1 because of the first goalie.
So Whitney stops 46 of 46 shots this weekend...not bad.
Now Whitney is up to .902 SV% for the year which is really good for the QMJHL. That is 7th best in the league, but if he could even get up to just a .906 SV% that is 3rd best in the entire league. Potential 1st rounder Zachary Fucale has a .899 SV%.
Whitney's numbers were steadily rising before Danault went away for the WJC and then got traded to Moncton. I'm really not concerned with his stats. Obviously he needs to stop the puck, but at 6'5" and with that athletic ability, he's an exciting prospect.
Garret Ross is absolutely on fire right now. since they sent Vincent Trocheck to Plymouth, he and 2013 draft eligible Jimmy Lodge have seriously stepped up and are on fire right now.
Ross with another 3 point game and is starting to really turn some heads. yes he is playing in his 4th season, but if you look at his progression from each year you see a hard working kid who has done well with what has been given to him. only the past year and a half has he been given a more prominent role in Saginaw, and he is really capitalizing on it.
I said he was a huge steal when we got him last year and could be another Andrew Shaw, if anything since then he has only gotten me even more excited about his potential as when Saginaw is done, this kid is coming on board.
He does the little things right and isnt flashy so dont expect a 70 point player, but with Ross you get a hard working two way forward that can create offense and is responsible in his own zone. Getting him in the 5th round is complete gravy at this point as anything he does for this organization will be a massive plus.
I think it's a good comparison to see that Pirri is only 2 points behind, and Morin has the same amount of goals, as AHL rock star Martin St. Pierre. The team is horrible all around but some of our prospects are right there in the mix.
