Hopefully just to clean out some leftover garbage from the summer surgery.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

This is Leafs luck. Every-time the team plays well -- something blows up.

Worst case of this was the Bryan Berard injury. They were all set to become a young dynamic team then Marian Hossa took out his eye.

He just got over major reconstructive knee surgury. Hopefully he's not having problems with the same knee but it likely is. This blows....hard.

Frattin's procedure required to clean up some of the damage left from the reconstructive cartilage surgery he had in May.

20 years ago yes. But if Bobby Orr was playing today his procedure was relatively minor.

Personally I blame Ron Wilson.

It was a time released virus designed to disrupt MCL functions given to all Leafs players and set to detonate upon Wilson's firing. Fortunately like all things Ron Wilson, the virus is hilariously inconsistent.

You know, if this team didn't have bad luck, it would have no damn luck at all.

Hope he and Reimer have a speedy recovery and hopefully don't lose a step when they get back.

Jays fans can relate:

Leafs and MCL injuries are like the Blue Jays and Tommy John surgeries.

Exactly.

No overreactions needed. He didn't re-injure anything. Simple procedure.

I think it's pretty minor stuff, the timing stinks but if he has less pain it might be a good thing.
