because if they made the PC version next gen, then about 98% of PC owners wouldn't be able to play the game. That would be pretty dumb of EA.

The guys didn't tell me much, but they told me that each 2 years, the game totally changed (engine, etc...) This year is the 2nd year, so this is just an update.

P.S. If you have any question you would like to ask me about the game, I could ask them your question, and feed you back. Just PM me.

And that 98% is only going to be 97% the same time next year when 2008 comes out. I don't see that as a plausable argument because not many people will upgrade or buy new PC's anyways.

And whats the difference, just dumb down the setings. Thats what I do when I play grafic intensive games like CS:S and Call of Duty.

it also seems they are doing this with every game, Madden etc.. so its not just NHL

it's also a space thing. it'd take up so much space to play it next gen. about 4-5 gigs, I'd say.

Oh well. I'm sure it will be good, just not as flashy.

Man, that pisses me off. I was really looking forward to a revamped NHL game. Sept 2007 is too far away!!!

btw, I read on the EA forums that Bill Clement will be doing the anouncing!! I'm sick of Hughson!

I posted this in the geek emporium, but maybe some of you guys can answer me this

I've been thinking about buying one, is it worth it? I heard it broke alot, any truth? what I really wanna know is, is it reliable?

I was going to wait and wait and wait for PS3, but I've been hearing reports that it's not coming out until god knows when. and I heard that the price will be something like $900-1100 canadian?

thanx

I'd like to see realisitc fighting implemented, and how it starts when the gamne starts to get very intense..or a rivalry was started earlier in the season..these things should be done. The ability to create rivalries by what happens in games.

And I dont always just wanna see one fight on the ice..there should be a fight that you are involved in, depending upon who you were controlling, and sometimes during a big scuffle, two other players decide to drop them..damn, line brawls should take place too. You can just split screen the game at this point in order to catch all the action.

I'd make the game ****in intense.

the PS3 will be about $700 US, so I guess $800 Canadian sounds about right.

I might need to get an XBox 360 JUST for this game.

Oh well, lets see how much cash the old PS2 can ring in along with all my games.

How much is the 360 these days?

Mine broke but it's not every console who broke. You always head complaint but never people who are happy with the 360.

By the way i love mine and there no chance that i will pay 800$ for the PS3. First i don't have a HD tv. Second, the blue ray disc cost alot, so the price of the game will probably go up. Third, i hate the controller.

$399 for the core system, $499 for the bundle one.

Those are Canadian prices.

Oh, I don't need all that. I guess I'll take the core and buy 2 controllers seperately.

Thanks

you'd have to buy a memory card, too.

memory card+extra controller would come up to around $100. may as well just get the bundle, so you've got the hard drive.

Yeah, that would probably be a better value. Do I get to pick 2 games or are 2 games always the same for each bundle.
