This was an important bulletin from the Department of the Obvious.

Great work on the GDT but some minor quibbles...

Daugavins actual nickname is "The Rooster" and am I the only one who thinks Da Costa should be a french poodle?

Yeah, I forgot about that. I kind of like the dog, though, as it actually looks like Daug a bit.

I can't do anything about it now but I might change it up when I get home... Or is that bad GDT karma?

Definite bad karma. Just do it next time you do a zoomorphical GDT.*

If you don't change it and the Sens lose, well... I don't want to be your mailman tomorrow.

This is a sick GDT. You should stick to this theme whenever you do GDTs. Good stuff.

every season, when the penguins and senators play in pittsburgh, one team ends up blowing out the other. i think it happened once for each team last year

The way the Senators have been playing (the passing is atrocious) I can't see them winning this game but we do pretty well against the Penguins so you never know...

The pens always seem to get goated into playing a wide open game though they were wiser to it in our last meeting. They may be more inclined to oblige with Spezza out and on home ice. If Mac can do that we have a good chance if it's Fleury vs Anderson.

This is a tough matchup with their centers. We also got the benefit of some calls last game so I expect that to stop tonight.

Condra should stay up with Turris. EC22 has been our most consistent forward and its time to reward him with great line mates.

Da Costa is due for one. Seems to be our most dangerous forward but nothing to show for it.

Milan is at an interesting crossroads. The knock on him over the past few years have been his extremely low assist totals and lack of vision. He seems to be going out of his way now to set his teammates up which is great in instances like the Karlsson goal but too often he's passing up great shooting opportunitities. I believe I saw Mac telling him on the bench last night to shot more. He's gotta start pulling the trigger to get out of this slump but it's also nice to see that he's trying to round out his game. Bottom line is Milo's gotta be better.

I'm on my phone and for some reason Spezza's picture is cut in half. But from what I can make out, it looks like a picture of a hyena. Couldn't find any donkeys?

Oh and nice touch making Cooke the jackass penguin.

Well, the rooster is also the national animal of France, so the choice makes sense. He could have been much more controversial in his choice of animal for him...

Pic in OP doesn't show in Opera (my usual browser) for some reason (must be due to my customizations). Had to use IE to see the awesomeness.

Got a phone call from my brother-in-law that my 83yo mom just had a heart attack this morning . Got an artery unclogged and a pacemaker installed but she remains unconscious. Was told the next 24-48h are gonna be critical. I just came back from Quebec City on Monday after spending the last three weeks visiting my parents. So my mind won't be much on the game this evening.

Michalek played very well last game, he showed great vision and poise and I did not expect it. If he can develop that side of his game it would help tremendously.
