Isles/Buffalo

Since the Isles are in need of some sort of change to toughen up their D I was wondering if a deal could be made around Mark Streit going to Buffalo for Brayden McNabb +? I'm not sure what their true values are but was wondering if something like that could be done.

Why would Buffalo trade a promissing young Dman plus something else for a mid 30s Dman in his walk year ?????? you are nuts.

You only make such a trade if you think you will have years with the player you were acquiring.,,,like if the other Dman was say 28.

We're not going anywhere this year, so it doesn't make much sense for us to trade a young asset like McNabb for an impending UFA. If the Sabres are interested in Streit, they'll make a play for him in UFA. Additionally, with the tread wearing thin on Regehr's tires and only Weber (a #6/#7 defenseman) with any modicum of physicality on the blueline, we also need McNabb's physicality.

Haha. Buffalo and the Isles are the last teams that should be trading. Both teams are a bit top-heavy up front and soft on the back end. They have the same needs.

Cheers,
