Hope Avs fans are right, Leafs have lots of mediocre players to make that work

You walked right into it. So predictable. Go check his recent history on RFAs and their second contracts.

I think Toronto and Buffalo are good bets, but really there are a ton of teams that could use a young defensive top 6 C. Florida, Washington, Winnipeg, NYI, Chicago, Anaheim (Koivu getting old, Getzlaf may leave), etc etc. Depends how important it is to Colorado to trade out of division and/or out of conference, because that can narrow the list down.
well the rumors are that they want to trade to a team in the East.

Florida and NYI probably can't afford to pay him 5 mil, and the capitals have a lot of expensive centerman (Backstrom, Ribeiro, Laich) and they have Johansson who is going to get a raise soon.

I guess Winnipeg could also be in the hunt for him.

Toronto, Buffalo, winnipeg?

I thought Carolina because they could use another defensive center for their third line.

He wouldn't be getting top 6 ice time on the Avs?

Avs would probably run three scoring lines with Stastny/Duchene/O'Reilly as centers.

Probably not with Duchene healthy and finally breaking out of his shell.
