Personally I'm not In to the whole singing thing. It works for soccer because of the slow pace and boringness.

I like a Loud croud at the arena but this is hockey not soccer. Hockey is a fast paced reactionary sport and you have to watch closely or youl miss most of the action.

The playoffs at Rogers arena is the way a hockey croud should be. Not singing IMO.

I was at game 1 of the finals in 2011 and that was I incredible. " constant go canucks go" " thomaaaasss" chants. Jumping to my feet on close chances, standing ovations for pks and going berserk for goals. Also yelling At refs.

Looks like i need to Grow a beard, have my vision degrade, start disliking the canucks and move from the suburbs.

The southsiders are a whitecaps fc supporters group.

I was at the game, the majority of the time they were standing.
One of them won the "Jerseys off our back" prize.

Didn't seem like they were treated badly, this is a non-story.

No prob.

Serious question.

Do most southsiders hate Canuck fans and or the canucks?

Not the Southsiders fans that I know. But they very much prefer the Whitecaps.

This is what I wish our fans were like at Rogers Arena. These are Borussia Dortmund fans at an opposing teams stadium. They are even more ridiculous for home games. Maybe the best fan support in pro sports.

Yes playoff games are louder but it's not like that only applies to Vancouver. Playoff crowds are much louder in all NHL arenas including PHX and FLA. Our playoff crowds used to be A LOT louder. Even as little far back as in 2007 our playoff crowd was one of the loudest in the league when we played the Stars. Now it's not even the same in the playoffs either.

In our run in 2011 there was some pathetic playoff crowds in there. Embarrassingly quiet for a playoff game. Never used to be like that.

For a team that is one of the best in the league, the crowd is one of the worst. Including playoffs.

Standing up is clearly against the rules, there are signs everywhere forbidding it. If you start to allow exceptions then you're creating a slippery slope.

Go ahead and cheer loudly - just make sure to follow the arena rules.

No, most support both teams and simply enjoy the whitecaps more.

I had a $240 club section ticket (which granted I didn't pay for) but I would have GLADLY traded it to be up in the nosebleeds with the FUN CROWD.

This is Canada and hockey is OUR JOINT and we have a great team! Why do we sit on our hands and look at our phones??

If guys chanting, "you'll never beat Luongo" and "I believe we will win" is annoying to you but bad canned techno and advertising isn't? SMDH!!!
