Holland needs to be called up. I'm not opposed to Bobby at center but he's still more effective on the wing, especially with Koivu in the middle between him and Teemu. Let Holland center the fourth line and get Staubitz out of the lineup so we can roll four lines again.
I agree with this Also not a lot of players can adjust to a new line almost every game. One game Etem is on the top line. Then next on the 2nd 3rd what have you. And expecting a rookie to adjust to that automatically is crazy.

On another note, Etems work ethic is off the charts. He skates hard every shift and never gives up on the play. And is arguably the fastest skater we have here. Once he pots in his first like Joe said he will get going I bet the farm on it.

You guys are being WAY to hard on our rookies not just Etem

Rakell sent down. Probably the last we see of him this year.

It sucks to see him sent down cause I feel differently about it. But if this was going to be done why not earlier? We just burnt a year off his ELC unless Murray may call him up later in the season. Don't know weird move imo

Nice, I like those moves. I'm excited for Maroon to get another chance, and Holland has been playing real well lately.

Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread and I was asking what was meant by it.

His ELC was rolling already, him playing with the big club had nothing to do with it.

Ryan - Holland - Selanne

Beleskey - Bonino - Maroon

Don't blow it, Holland.

I bet we'll see a Holland, Maroon, Beleskey line to begin with. Just can't see them putting him ahead of Bonino who's been playing so well

As long as Etem or any player for that matter is playing in either the NHL or AHL they are on a Professional contract. When Rakell was sent down it was to the CHL where he isn't playing on his Pro Contract. ELC Burning only matters to players who are still under age and play in the Juniors/Europe not in the Minors.

Good moves, now that Etem has had a taste of the NHL he needs to go play a ton of minutes in the AHL and score some goals.

If they are, then it will be because they failed to stand out in practice. Their auditions don't start in the games.

A year will be burned off of his ELC whether he plays in the NHL or AHL. The 6 game rule only allies for junior eligible players like Rakell.

Good thing Etem is sent down, he needs more time to develop. Same for Rakell, but better if he was sent back to the OHL some games ago instead of just sitting him.

Can't wait to see Holland in action!

Even just practicing with the big club is probably quite good for his development. Sucks to go a stretch like that without playing, but otherwise IMO I like it.

Really happy about these moves. I think people are going to find out that Maroon can be a pretty good 4th liner. He has the size and scoring touch to be a weapon for the bottom 6. I like Holland getting a chance too. Hopefully our 4th line will be Beleskey-Holland-Maroon...Some nice size, skill, and toughness on that 4th line

Another possibility is Holland playing LW with Getz and Perry

Good point. I wouldn't mind giving that a shot. Holland could use his super good wrist shot effectively in that role
