What's the point of a puck mover that doesn't produce points? Isn't the reason they're so sought after because they score points?
Would anybody want Wideman, Corvo or Kaberle if they didn't score points? They definitely wouldn't be highly sought after.

a puckmover is not necessarily an offensive defenseman. I think you're getting confused again like you were with stats being the be-all-end-all for you.
A puckmover is someone who gets the puck in his own zone and makes nice breakout pass with ease or can carry the puck out. A puck moving defenseman won't have to rely on off the glass and out often.
An offensive defenseman, specializes in getting shots through traffic, and moving around in the offensive zone to open up gaps to feed passes through.
For example, Filip Kuba is an excellent puck moving defenseman. That being said, i don't want him on my powerplay. He always seems to fake slap shot and put it into the corner. No offense other then secondary assists from the breakout.
An offensive defenseman is not as valuable as a puck moving defenseman when not scoring. Bouwmeester still does a good job of getting the puck out of his zone and on to his teamates stick. Doesn't mean he's good at getting pucks on net and being creative on the powerplay.
