I was laughing when Matthias did it last week.

Offense didnt score on a 2 on 0 and a 4 on 1, defense no where to be seen on 2 goals (first goal and deflection goal) and a breakaway in OT. To blame this game 100% on Clemm is wrong and deflects the blame away from the terrible play of others.

With that said, with a 2 goal lead in the 3rd, you would like to think you can hold onto the game. Clemm couldnt do that. 5 goals should be enough to win. It wasnt. Clemm definately could/should have done better and is absoultely a major part of this loss.

I'll give him 1 more chance before DEMANDING he goes. If a move is made tomorrow, I wouldnt be opposed to it. I wont argue it. But ill give him one last chance.

we didn't score on a 2 on 0, not because of lack of execution, but because their goalie made an incredible save. what a novel concept, eh? shore made a great play. holtby made a better save.

the 4 on 1 was terrible. won't argue that...if you have 4 options and one is mike weaver, you take another option every single time.

won't argue the defensive breakdowns either. but they happen...is it really asking for too much for our goalie to bail our guys out, at least once...like holtby did? because that's all it would have taken tonight. just once. even with all the terrible goals he let in...just one save would have done it

well, hopefully we don't miss the playoffs by a point or two if our management shares this logic.

Caps scored two goals off of faceoffs tonight.

I can't imagine Dineen going back to Clemmer anytime soon. We need to see Markstrom up here. I want to see this accountability that Dale is talking about. It applies to Santo and all the skaters, why not the goaltenders? Nobody is getting it done. Worst GAA in the league and Theo leads between the two of them with a wonderful .890 save %. We don't need OTLs, we need wins.

the duo played the best they could last year. It was to much to ask they play lights out at this age again.

I have that twitter account, but I never get a response. I was hoping for an email or even number (office number is fine)

On a side note about last nights game. Can we bring up Petrovic? Is that allowed, I mean I just don't know his contract status and all. I am all for bringing up Petrovic(if we can) and Markstrom to seeing how the team responds. Obviously we have some issues with goaltending and defense, for whatever reason, and maybe Markstrom and Petrovic are the answers. Why not bench Weaver for a few games and bring up Petrovic? What if Petrovic has the same jump and fire as Drew Shore does? What if Petrovic gives us more speed and less mistakes? I am all for bringing up Markstrom full time and sending Clemmer through waivers, but maybe bringing up these guys and benching a few guys will light a fire under their arses. We don't really have anyone to sub in for our D if they perform poorly due to the trade of Ellerby and the injury to Jovo and the same could be said about Clemmer. If we brought up some players from the minors, then maybe the players will respond. I know I am critical of the team because I expect them to play up to par with last season,as well as I want to see us finally reach the light at the end of the tunnel, but I can't help but wonder if it's time to give guys like Petro and Marky the reigns of the team and see how they respond. How much longer do we have to wait in the season before something is done? I love Weiss and Steeg, regardless of play this season and I don't want them to go anywhere. I love how Shore and Huberdeau have responded and same goes with Gudbranson and I see our future looks very bright. I believe it's time to bring up Marky and Petro and let them spark something for this team because we despritely NEED a spark before the season is lost.

At this point it doesn't really matter.

They just lost two consecutive games to (arguably) the worst team in the NHL and looked bad doing it.

Clemmer looked like a clown on that last goal, but based on the "performance" of "first line forwards" Weiss & Versteeg, I's pretty safe to say that this season will be long gone before they finally show signs of life.

Why do you want Viner's contact info?? If you're complaining about Clemmensen and/or want Markstrom brought up from the AHL, you want Dale Tallon's contact info. Viner doesnt get involved in the hockey decisions like that.

Petro has very solid numbers for his first pro season. I'd like to see him get a few games as a call up.

I do have to mention that I've not watched the Rampage play at all this season. I'm not sure if he's really as solid as his numbers show.

If they bring up Markstrom because Viner feels pressure from twitter this team is crap. Viner owns Tallon manages. Being a Cowboy fan trust me you don't the owner making personel decisions. How did that work out for the Panthers with Cohen sticking his nose into running the team? Not to mention once Viner tells Tallon what to do with the roster the players lose all respect for Tallon because they know Viner has the power.

1) Petrovic is hurt. Out for another 1-2 weeks.

2) He's highly skilled and fun to watch. He's also frustrating as hell as he's still learning the game. Made a ton of mistakes early on but has gotten better.

You don't seriously think the very successful Viner makes business decisions based on fans messaging in 240 characters or less?

I hope the successful Viner lets his hockey people make their decisions I hate owners that F with their teams. And no I don't think he would let twitter people influence him I just hope he trusts Tallon to do his job.

Sorry.

I actually don't like being in psychological tank mode, but the writing was on the wall early on.

Tallon must see it also. He's just not going to come out and call it a lost season on TV...

As far as I can tell, the only logical thing that being a Marlins fan teaches you is that you shouldn't be a Marlins fan.

Marlins season tickets should come with soap-on-a-rope.

Was at the game last night and I agree that I flinch when a shot on goal is sent at Clemmer. He will make a save but his rebound control is worrisome.

What really upset me was the team's play after the got the 5-3 lead. A few minutes after Shore's goal it seemed as if the mindset changed from playing to win to playing not to lose.

Clemmer needs a wakeup call, but then again so does Theo and many others on the team. Tallon did mention at the Town Hall meeting that Markstrom would be called up this season but would not commit to any specifics.

It's early.

You look at the standings and Montreal and Toronto (bad teams last year/didn't really make major upgrades on paper) are currently in the top-8.

Things happen in a season. Ottawa just lost Karlsson for an extended period of time.

Looking at the standings, no team should realistically be thinking about tanking right now. Only 1/4 of the season has been played.

Considering tanking at this point is ridiculous. We're not far out of a playoff spot by any means. Snap out of it, sheesh. You've got the past decade going to your head. A team can tank given 20 games, there's no need to start now and make the entire damn season miserable.
