It's a good draft year unfortunately, which means if Karlsson is down for any length of time Sens could be picking top 7. Not happy about that.

It doesn't look like a dirty play by Cooke -- still it's Cooke. He's the guy who took out Markov too.

And Savard. Sabres and Leafs next?

Didn't look intentional by Cooke to me. Since the shoe is now on the other foot I don't know how Pens fans view it.. They were pretty convinced Subban tried to deliberately cut Staal's foot off.

They think it was unintentional. Sens fans seemed split.

It's too bad OTT is in our division, they were reportedly looking for a D before this injury, now they'll definitely be eager to get an offensive D you would think.

lol Yeah, he's working his way through the NE division. It amazes me how he's managed to take out the best offensive player on each NE team.

I guess JVR or Kessel and Vanek are next.

I don't know how it's intentional.. I get that Cooke has history, but no way is that intentional. I just don't see it. It's a freak accident.

when you watch it at normal speed it's quite accidental.

Looks like many Sens fan think it was intentional.
Nothing to do with being from Ottawa. If this happened to any of our players, this board would be broken.

Maybe we can dish them out some Weber/Kaberle love ?

On another note... That PP is why Crosby and Malkin are 1-2 in the world.

GOD that puck retrieval by Crosby

Ottawa Senators ‏@NHL_Sens
Update on Karlsson: Erik suffered a laceration to his left achilles, which will require surgery to repair. He will be out indefinitely.

The Lang injury. Although that was one termed as ''severed''. Which seems more severe than ''laceration''.

Mr, of course I was thinking that...but do you want to help them? What's the point of trading Weber to them for like a 4th rounder?

It did happen and it was intentional, Chara did it. I don't think Cooke did this intentionally though, if he did he should be in jail.

Not good news for Karlsson and the Sens. Lacerated achilles that will require surgery.

People will always be ready to blame somebody when it comes to injuries, remember how it was Subban's fault for Jordan Staal's injury in the playoffs?

Meh. I'm sure those gloved shots to the face will really deter Cooke in the future.
