Having the addition of Borewecky back would be great...

Curious that they actually are keeping Benoint. I thought Wierdcrosh was playing well.

i think benoit has been more reliable and steady (quietly) than wiercioch. wiercioch has played well though.
i like the decisions the coaching staff is making so far with the roster and line combos.

Benoit has to clear waivers (which he probably wouldn't). That has as much to do with their decision as anything.

Lehner already let his team down 1-0.

If someone claims him, he would have to report the NHL team. He would have to re-enter waivers to report to an AHL team.

The chances someone picks him up are slim, probably the Islanders though.

Sens#83:

With D-men being scarce and as more fall to injury. A Vet D-men like Andre would be claimed by a lot of teams who love to add more depth on defense. Andre would be snapped up fast by many teams.............

Anybody knows what kind of lines (Forwards AND Defense) they are using right now?

And a list of who is injured and when we could expect them to be back

Thanks

Yesterday was something like this:

Cowick-Pageau-Gazley
DD-Grant-Jessiman
Prince-Cannone-Schneider
Kramer-Hamilton-Downing

Boro-Gryba
Lebda-Claesson
Eckford-Wideman

These were the lines last night. Hoffman and Stone are both out about 4-6 weeks, probably won't be back until end of March beginning of April, if at all. Petersson is out for the season.

I don't, too much defensive-d on that line. They need to both be paired with a puck mover, or there needs to be a more offensive minded line to offset.

Didn't both those guys put up 20 & 22 pts respectively last yr? That's not too shabby for defensive defencemen & Gryba already has 10 pts this yr. BTW is Wideman looking better & playing a more offensive game? I thought he was suppose to be a offensive defenceman.

Was at the game last night. What really needs work is quickness on the PP. There are no cycles to try and free up a man in the slot. They just play on the perimeter then blast a shot from a bad angle or from the point. No backdoor attacks from the dmen.(Benoit always did this although you can give up an odd man rush.) I think that they need to be more creative(more movement) on the PP. Secondly many of the guys left are really being pushed off the puck in all the zones. You need skill and strength and I think that strength is an issue for some.
A final thing I noticed were several 3 on 2's where we attacked with 3 parallel attackers rather than a triangle. Most of the passes were tipped or deflected. Its much harder to defend a triangular attack. Even if one drives hard to the net it should free up one of the high men to quarterback the next move.
