Dallas allows an absurd number of horizontal passes in front of the net. They can't even make any on a 5 on 3 powerplay but they sure can allow them at even strength.

What kind of play does he try to commit his players to? What qualities are commonly associated with his style of coaching? Is he a people person, or more of a dictator?
The Stars just came off a four game win streak and played a crazy game on a back to back - do you think he could keep the team motivated for the Canucks game, or did the team use too much energy for 'motivation' to be a factor for the next game?

To be honest, I really don't want to hear negative / snide remarks for answers, like "a bad one" or "the losing one"... Any insight is always appreciated. Don't really know much about him other than the fact he has an interesting last name.
We have no ****ing idea anymore.

Ugh, that game was a chore to be at.

Dillon is a lot faster on his feet than I had thought, Garbutt is more tenacious than originally conceived too.

In some ways, it may be easier for the team to recover their play of the past few games. Every team is going to lose and throw a stinker out there. Often times, teams bounce back very well from these kind of horrible losses.

Gologoski is to much of a liability on defense. That was an absolutely painful game to watch with him coughing up the puck over and over.

Problem is it happened on the B2B. If they don't start figuring out a way to win some of these it doesn't matter what you do the rest of the season. You simply can't have a decent record if you lose all of the 2nd of B2B games.

Except, that it was basically a replay of the game against Edmonton, minus our star goaltender.

The worst part about this game is the increased chance Kari gets ridden into the ground for the rest of the season. Stay strong #32

I'd agree. I would rather the team get blown out exposing their weaknesses and "waking them up" than just falling short on a 2-1 loss. The former might (probably not) jolt them into fixing their bad habits.

Then again I've said that probably a few times over the past 2 seasons and it hasn't yet, so...

Pretty much. Bachman had a horrid game but he still deserves more starts (or Nilstorp). I swear to god if they ride Kari because of one bad game..

It's fine to rest Lehtonen.

But on those nights we should also rest Jagr, Loui, Benn, Morrow, Daley, and Dillon. And just accept we are literally incapable of winning without Lehtonen.

By the play on the ice, I'd say those guys got plenty of rest even while playing.

The problem is that game and the Edmonton game exposed that this is a lottery team without Lehtonen in the net.

They were absolutely awful in the defensive zone. I defy anyone to tell me this really is a playoff caliber defense. My question at this point is Oleksiak better off in Dallas playing or does he maybe need some more seasoning in the AHL. He wasn't all that great last night or previously in Edmonton.

Daley, Jagr and Benn had decent games considering the result.
