Although if Col just couldnt take McNabb for his hit on Hishon, then Swap him for Girgs. I would just rather have Girgs long term rather than Mac.
I really like this.

I should probably know this but... Does Ennis play wing? Getting that much smaller at center does not sound that great. Although if Ennis could play LW/RW I would be happy with Ennis + Girginsons

Besides we still have Stastny & Duchene as our #1 & #2...

Avs aren't trading their young goalies (and especially not Pickard) until they see what will happen with them in the pro level.

The Radar + Pickard proposal is beyond brutal for Colorado, we need to get bigger not smaller and I don't want to see McNabb in Denver.

Yes. And honestly he's probably better suited there long term.

Uh do you see Avs fans loving that deal? No...

I get a prospect coming our way who is a big center, fine, but the roster player being a small center? NO no and NOOOOO

If your that happy about the deal, then you probably you need to add to it.

Change DSP to Etem... DSP is a bottom six type prospect that we don't need more of thanks.

One Avs fan liked that.

Quite honestly, it's pitiful from my view. That's ignoring the remote possibility of McNabb on our team.

ennis has played LW and they switched him to center late last season.

You arent going to get Ennis AND Girgenson

If you want both a #1 in 2013 is coming back

Avs won't budge over $3.5 for ROR (supposedly) but they are eager to take on Myers at 5.5?

Avs won't take on his contract, you can be sure about that.

Throwing this out there....

Grigorenko and Weber for ROR + minor prospect/mid level pick.

There is your top prospect and your roster player who can fill in on D. Over payment by Buffalo, but I understand that is the only way Colorado is going to move him.

O'Reilly, 21, is still without a contract and the Avs have started to seriously explore the possibility of trading him.

The price tag, however, is steep, as Colorado GM Greg Sherman is asking for a top-six forward and a top prospect in exchange for O'Reilly.
It's unclear how serious talks between the Sabres and Avs have gotten, and it's uncertain what Buffalo GM Darcy Regier is willing to give up, however he does not appear interested in parting with the likes of Mikhail Grigorenko, Cody Hodgson or Tyler Ennis, while though Marcus Foligno could be someone Colorado takes a look at.

The Sabres, currently 12th in the Eastern Conference, would like to upgrade their roster, as Regier has been shopping for a top-six forward since the season started.

Several other teams, though, are also eyeing O'Reilly, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and Winnipeg Jets.

O'Reilly is looking for a five-year contract worth around $5 million per season."

I'd love to get Foligno, but Sabres would have to add something really valuable to entice the Avs.

Why? He's paid significantly less than his cap hit and is a perfect candidate for the patented buy low rehab project by Sherman.

Boy will the avs fan will not like the return that O'Reilly will bring.

Don't expect a great return for him if the sabres offered this deal avs you take this and run.

They don't want to pay Radar 5mil because it would set a bar for Varly, Matt and Landeskog and you think they'll take on a 5.5mil cap hit attached to a player who's playing abysmal right now?

No way in hell the Sabres are trading Foligno. Just don't see it. Kid has exceeded expectations at every level, brings the kind of grit Buffalo's been sorely lacking for years, and he has family history with the organization.

Not to mention that he would look great playing on the wing with ROR...

As another poster said, I can't see the McNabb-Hishon thing (that happened in junior) coloring their opinion of an NHL trade proposal. What happened was unfortunate, certainly, but I think everyone needs to move on, and I'm sure McNabb hopes Hishon returns and has a productive career.

His $10m bonus is paid. He's owed roughly $28m for the remaining 6 1/2 years. That's not a pittance, obviously, but I imagine it's real dollars that the Avs are concerned about, and not cap hit. If you guys can get him to where he plays consistently like his rookie year and the second half of his second and third seasons, that sum is more than reasonable.

That's a pretty big if for a guy who eats a very large part of the cap.

I think it's less a high bar than it is the 2nd contract with Sherman. He's unwilling to pay a RFA the same value he'd get as a UFA. If we inherit the contract, O'Reilly gets oversheeted, etc, I don't think it would matter as much as it would if Sherman willingly gave over that contract himself.

Varly will get himself a nice raise in the 4-4.5mil range and Landeskog will get himself a 3.5-4mil minimum contract, closer to 5 isn't at all unlikely.
