The fact that some of the people doesn't even recognize the two major mistakes before that goal went in supports my opinion. Sure, Biron made a bad call but that situation should have never even happened.
I agree that it should have never happened. I played goalie in soccer for eight years. I know what it's like to be the last line of defense and take all the blame. But if the defense let a righty come flanking down my left side, and he shot the ball right at me and it somehow went right through me, that's just as much my fault as it is the defense's fault for letting him shoot the ball. Shots are gonna happen, you can't hold a team to zero shots. When a save needs to be made, a save needs to be made. Plain and simple.
That's how most new age Ranger fans act. Blame the goalie first.
I guess the old age fans are blame the goalie never. It was practically a 180 degree angle. That is an AWFUL goal. Almost as bad as the Stralman goal on Tuesday. I hate how our goaltenders are sacred cows on this board. At least Hank has earned it. Biron is an inconsistent backup.
I think getting hemmed in our own end and absolutely struggling to gain zone entry is a sign of being outclassed. The Bruins made us our *****es last game.
Except not, since we always do the same thing against the Bruins and often win. Their zone time is more often than not feeding the puck to the point and letting it go. Hank eats that **** up. Barely domination.
We scored three goals, and I don't want to hear **** about Stralman's goal being a softy since Lucic's was a hand pass and shouldn't have counted.
I've lost track of how many times Stepan has fumbled a puck on the powerplay from the left side of the net. I know Callahan is a good net front presence on the PP for screening the goalie or quickly potting rebounds, but they really need to put Callahan in Stepans spot. Conversely, they could put a lefty, although that makes one timing it a bit harder. Stepan should be setting up passes instead of fumbling those pucks
Guys, where has Michael Del Zotto been? I hate to rip on the guy because he is our only real PMD, but I mean cmon. He has been completely quiet lately, also like Richards, he is scared of physical contact, instead of making a hit and taking the body, he gives a little shove, and when he goes to retrieve pucks, he tries to spin away from a hit and that throws his whole game off and he coughs the puck up to Gilroy. What is going on here? Richards, Del Zotto, Gaborik all playing soft hockey and that leads to slow legs and stationary play.
