Two Chicago scouts at Pitt-Ott game. Minnesota and Anaheim other Western conference teams in attendance tonight.

The game obviously happened last night, but I wonder who they were looking at. Obviously wasn't advanced scouting.

Must be scouting Ottawa. I honestly don't have a clue who Chicago would want off their roster at this point. Zach Smith's not much of an upgrade on Shaw and Chris Neil might as well be god in Ottawa.

We'll win Cups until they force him to retire for being too dominant.

Ideas:

Ribiero: Pirri, Beach, and a 1st
Nielsen: Pirri, Morin, 2nd, and a 5th
Eller: Pirri and a 2nd

Turris would be great. Imagine 50s posts about how Kane profits from playing with Turris :yay:

That's an awful lot to give up for Nielsen. And I really don't understand why Montreal would be interested in Pirri and a late second for a young NHL proven center.

TOO MUCH!

Nielsen has never scored 50 pts in the NHL and isn't worth 2 good prospects and 2 picks.

cause they lost 3 games to start the season

I like the idea of Eller, but I think Bickell would go the other way

NO!

This team is soft enough as is, get rid of Bickell for a smaller softer Euro center and come play-off time this team would get destroyed physically. Would give up most other bottom 6 players for Eller, just not 1 of the only bigger more physical players we have.

It really isn't. If you get Nielsen, Pirri has no future on this team. Morin is extremely expendable. You give up a 2nd in the next draft in which you currently have all your picks and a 5th which you might be able to turn into a gem for a proven NHL center that you don't have to go through the trouble locking up since he's already signed for you on a fantastic contract.

Washington, despite the 3 game winning streak, is pretty damn brutal. They are not going to the playoffs. They'll be under and well out of a playoff spot at the deadline. From that position, Ribeiro and McPhee (if he is still there by then) will have to make a decision.

I agree with what you say. Just saying that Bickell would go the other way if we get Eller. Exactly the kind of forward the Habs would want back

No interest in an Eller for Bickell trade, makes us far too soft.

We shouldn't even waste our time with trade proposals. I doubt any GM will make a trade with Hawks with the way the Hawks are winning.

If there's any GMs out there that are more worried about the Hawks than their own team...then they probably won't be a GM for very long.

When did the Caps turn there season around?

They are last place in East with record of 5-9-1. Sure they have won a few games but they haven't even climbed close to .500 yet

Why not pick up Ribiero and give him a shot?

Because he is one of the worst faceoff guys in the league. If you think Shaw (48.2%), Kruger (43.4%) and Bolland (42.6%) are bad - try Ribiero at 40.4%. And this year is not an anomoly - Ribiero has always been terrible at faceoffs with his best year at 46.6%. Usually it's in the low 40's.

The Hawks are one of the top scoring teams in the league now - the weakness the Hawks have is anyone who takes a faceoff other than Toews. C'mon Stan - pick up a guy that wins more faceoffs than he loses. It will make the Hawks puck possession game even better than it has been this season.

Give me the best player we can get, and that is probably Ribeiro. Sharp can suck it up and the least take the key draws. I really don't give a damn about Ribeiro's hurt feelings as a rental so if it was me, Sharp would just take all of them.

don't forget, if we add a player another would have to go.

My guess would be Bollig being the worst on the team or one of the UFA to be 's

having day dreams of the Jets having a fire sale and Byfuglien requesting a trade and Bowman obliging. Give them prospects and picks. I want Buff back. Then lets see people call us soft... I mean.. How happy can he be in Winnipeg right now? They might as well still be the Thrashers.
