The point is that the guy has been a world class player for a very long time., including most of his time as a Ranger. He's earned the slack he is getting, especially from Torts.

Does he need to play better this season? Yes.

Does he deserve to be sitting right now? Yes.

Giving him a pass based on reputation is a chicken **** philosophy and I'm glad Torts isn't doing that.
