I could see Haula being a very effective pro. Maybe on the AHL level, but I could see him putting up 35-40 in the NHL.

He's been called the most complete player in College Hockey by a number of people.

He's a winger on a Jacques Lemaire team. However I think he'd be a center on a Mike Yeo team. Yeo plays Granlund at center and he's been horrible at defense. Haula could hold his own in the NHL, imo.

I think Larsson is going to be super effective in a few years at C for the Wild. The way Koivu keeps in shape, he'll 1C it for another 3-4 at least. Granlund - Larsson - Zucker sounds effective.

Re: Haula - Watching him abuse the WCHA for the last few years makes me confident he can do well in the NHL after some adjustment. I would like to see top end D drafted this summer (all things being equal). I really think that zucker/larrson/bulmer are going to saturate our forward lines along with everyone else we have.

US college hockey is always a great indicator of NHL success.

And please tell me who has said he's the most complete player in the NCAA.

No more, no less than Juniors are an indicator.

I've heard and read many hockey pundits gush over his skills, both offensively and defensively for quite some time now...it's pretty apparent that you haven't really watched him play a whole lot based on your scouting report, including this quote "He's not defensive enough". In fact, he's quite well known for his play in the defensive zone in addition to his playmaking/scoring skills. Which is why he translates more to center than wing.

We made it until about mid-March last season before some started cheering for the tank. Made it to mid-February this year in a season that started less than a month ago.

if we going to miss the playoffs and get 14th overall, might as well miss em hard and get 5th overall!

If we ONLY get the 5th overall pick, we're going to be giving up a few cups.

Poster last year here said that (sic) by not staying at #3 and winning up to #7 overall, we very well could've costed ourselves a Cup or two.

yeah I remember those worthless couple wins at the end of the year. If we happen to do poorly though this year, lets just win the lottery

ha I wouldnt doubt if they do get it for the 11th straight year. I feel that this years draft should be really exciting with the top 5 seeming very deep. How would you make up your mind? that would be tough as gm

It'd definitely be tougher than normal. Top 3 would be a crapshoot. And so many dynamic talents after.

My lord. Check out this dandy from Drouin tonight. A 1-on-4 beauty that he had no business making. So good.
