If you negative-Parise guys paid some attention to the fact that he is actually shooting 5-9 times on net per game = goals will come.

And on this pace he will have 24 goals in 48 games. Same as Heatley last year with 82 games.

Also, his 24 goals pace would be a 41 goals pace in a full 82.

Are you guys saying we should bench Parise? lol What exactly do you want? Parise is the least of our problems. He is the bright light in this otherwise huge learning experience.

We can only hope it's a learning experience. Time will tell, but it only seems like half the guys actually learn.

ZP is one of our only guys that competes over-hard every shift and gets the puck to the net.. The thing this teams lacks? Right?

Parise is also one of our only players that always is a complete treat to the opposit team..

Bench Heatley way before we ever bench Parise.

And three periods in a row.

I'm more and more intrigued by what a different coach could do, just don't see a better coach out there.

Agreed. It intrigues me as well but firing Yeo mid-season for what? There is no Hitchcock or Boudreau sitting out there right now and replacing Yeo with another newbie head mid-season would be stupid imo.

I'm leaning more to this whole axing the coach.

He has good tools, he should use them properly. IMO, he has not been doing this, and his ****ing line boggle is really starting to piss me off, especially when some things are working well, why the hell would you mess with it, since so much other crap is broken.

Example: Suter-Brodin, NOW, Suter-Spurgeon, Prosser-Brodin... Was he ****ing drunk when he thought of this?!?! If Brodin has his minutes decreased substantially, and Spurgeon gets his increased substantially...I just don't even know...

I hope Fletch is watching and making mental notes of this crap. He can go to Leopold and say "He didn't seem bipolar when I hired him..."

So, just because this is apparently happening in practice today is that a guarantee that it would be the lineup tomorrow evening? Serious question, because I don't know.

If so, then yeah this move really has me shaking my head. I don't know why you'd break up one of the few bright spots on this team.

We probably won't know for sure until the game tomorrow, but I don't even understand how this ludicrous idea crawled into his damned head.

This, really, makes me question his overall judgement. He's made questionable judgements in the past, but I've always just gone with the whole, he knows what he is doing and there is a good reason for this. That faith has been waning, and this here really is, just... I don't even know. It just makes no sense.

If Yeo breaks-up Suter/Brodin, he deserves to be fired. That pairing is one of the few things that has worked the whole season.

I don't get Yeo/coaches love affair with Spurgeon whatsoever. He is the 4th best defenseman on the team. I guess they must like one of their defenseman being dominated in the defensive zone.

Damnit, Yeo! Keep Brodin and Suter together! You want Suter to get more comfortable? Then stop playing musical chairs with his partners! Brodin and Suter worked well together. Why mess with one of the few things that wasn't broke?

Does it make sense though to go two lefties on one pair, and two righties on the other when you can just go lefty-righty? Not like Spurgeon is like putting a Stoner up with Suter instead.

I haven't read all 19 pages of this thread so would someone mind summing up the general feeling of Wild fans about Yeo? Would be appreciated, thanks!

When it means splitting up what has been by far and away your most successful pairing? Sorry... I'm not THAT fond of "handedness" to make that change!

Maybe Yeo can see that neither Prosser nor Falk can make a breakout pass to save their life. He is pairing Brodin with whichever one plays that night so that a breakout pass can be made. Its too bad because Brodin shouldn't have to be stuck in that spot but we need to be able to play 3 d pairings.
