Didn't see the game because I was at the X tonight but not really surprised the Huskies won, thought all along this series would be a split. Now heard Wilcox gave up a terrible goal and struggled tonight, he's done that now the last two Saturday's but given how stellar he's been all year I'm not worried about him yet, just for me the biggest thing the Gophers should keep an eye on.

I'm really not worried right now about the Gophers, this team has the talent and consistency I've seen this 2nd half that I think they will be just fine right now. Having said that, big series with Wisconsin coming up and I look forward to seeing how they respond to what will be the big stage in particular on Sunday.

If the Wilcox goal you heard about was a shot from the blueline, it was deflected about 5 feet out from where Brodzinski shot it. Didn't change direction much, but it was enough. Those were two championship quality games. Wouldn't mind seeing us hook up again a couple more times, say maybe in St. Paul & Pittsburgh?

Well folks, I'm off to the Windy City to watch Minnesota's Pride on Ice stomp that boring team to our east. Maybe I'll see some of you out there, if you're looking for me I'll be the drunk guy.

As always

Obvious holding of the stick on Minny is "missed" by the refs....

Story of the game is Minnesota's PP vs. Wisconsin's 5v5. Wisconsin had 2 even strength goals (one with extra attacker) and Minnesota only scored on the PP. Shame the ref missed a very obvious call that would have given Wisconsin a PP

You're right, with the exception of the U carrying most of the 5v5 play as well. If I was Wisconsin, I'd worry more about the 43 shots allowed than the reffing.

I thought the 5v5 play was very even with both teams having chances. How many of those 43 shots came off the PP?

Edit: It also seemed like Wisconsin just let the gophers get to the loose pucks when they should have clearly had them (as if they were scared), which gave way to many more shots. Eaves better have noticed that.

How's that going for you? I love the focus the Gopher brought to the game last night, great all around effort and big win for my boys!

Now really can look forward to crushing Bucky outdoors tomorrow, let's get that sweep Gophers!

This badgers squad is really chippy. Spending more time holding the gophers' stick than their own

Wilcox lets in a trickler against a tired gophers line. 1-0 badgers

And 2-0 after a deflection off reilly's leg. Not a good stretch

They controlled the first 25-30 minutes... wheels fell off at the end of the 2nd there. Gophers need to get a couple early in the 3rd and take advantage of the fresh ice.
