Better than Kreider sitting in the pressbox.

I'd rather see him playing at the NHL level. Unfortunately though, the decision was between sitting in the press box or playing in the AHL. In that sense this is the right move.

Pretty much, yeah.

Without Miller we're not very deep at center. Hopefully Boyle keeps playing like last night and Richards starts showing something, but if that doesn't happen we need Miller.

I just can't bring myself to believe this whole "Torts has an agenda against Kreider" thing you keep preaching

That's like telling Chris Johnson to move his feet like Lesean McCoy.

If Chris Johnson suddenly stopped running, then yeah.

Are you telling me Kreider has looked assertive in his play? Because I can certainly tell you he has not.

I think it's a sign of a bad defensive player when his defenders always go "remember that time he back-checked"?

Like I said before, if Miller stays and burns, we send Chris down. If they decided not to keep Miller, Chris stays up.

The NHL really isn't there to bring players along. If you are rebuilding, that's fine, but unless a layer is very close, it's better for them to normally get more minutes in the AHL and build up their confidence.

Kreider needs to play. The Whale has 3 games this weekend. Kreider hurt his foot. Didn't skate. He skated for a few days and was inserted into the line-up. Even when Kreider played, his shifts were short. He was always the first forward to change. Maybe he was worried about his conditioning. Miller was extending his shifts. Kovalev would have been proud of him.

I was almost certain that Miller would be the one going down. Oh well. Both he and Kreider need some seasoning so I can't say that this was a bad move.

nothing wrong with this, he plays 3 games in a row this weekend with CT.........this does mean Miller is in for game 5 which was inevitable anyway

One of my favorite highlights from 94...

Keenan keeps Kovalev on the ice to punish him, Alexei thinks he's being rewarded.

Your ability to extend your shift should not be the deciding factor whether you play or not. It should be who is the more dynamic player and can benefit the team most moving forward.

They both need conditioning and they both need seasoning in the AHL, but between the two of them, banged up Kreider or not, Kreider is the more developed.

Did you see the way he played last night? Kreider hasn't had a game like that yet this season. He's shown very few glimpses of the player he was in the final 15 games of the playoffs last year.

This is all on Kreider. He's not playing the way he should be. He is not engaging and has been getting knocked off the puck far too easy for a guy that's 6'3 230 pounds. He needs to assert himself A LOT more.

Very disappointed in Kreider thus far. Probably shouldn't have expected him to come in and score consistent top-6 numbers, but after his playoff run, I thought he'd be a lot better than this. It's obvious he's still very raw and needs to polish his game. Hopefully he actually produces in the AHL during this stint.
