What's the difference between ROR and Benn? Why is one franchise superstar material and the other's potential is capped at #2C?

One plays for Dallas, the other doesn't.

One had scored 20 goals three seasons in a row. The other has never scored 20 goals.

I think ROR will be a very good player and I'd like to see him in Dallas, but he's asking for Jamie Benn type money without performing like Benn.

Duchene screwed ROR over by taking such a hometown discount. Granted, Duchene's favorite team growing up was Colorado, but still.

Which would make him a great fit as Benn's center because Benn isn't a playmaker.

Absolutely boggles my mind that people still can't accept Benn as a center.

It's about options. If the team can acquire a very promising young playmaking center, moving Benn back to wing may be the best overall move for the franchise.

If Lehtonen is out at all I want Campbell to come up and see if we can make a man out of him.

Sigh... that's the worst thing you could possibly do. JC is just now getting his legs under him as a pro and you want to bring him up and throw him behind this defense? Nilstorp will be called up.

Agreed. No way in hell should Campbell be called up this year at all.

I didn't get to watch ... but it sounds like Campbell had another strong game. He stoned several odd man rushes.

Calling him up right now would be beyond silly. Goal is the most important position to be as patient as possible.

Cause ROR is vastly overrated and is asking for an obscene amount of $$$$$........ Comparing him to Benn is non-sense, Benn easily has more potential and long term value. If I was starting a team, I would select him over ROR without blinking an eye.

BENN IS A STUD,

Now the question is, will Dallas roll with there rookie Nihlstrop in goal, since its obvious from the last two nights that Bachman is HORRIBLE.

Thanks for starting Bachman in Calgary

Any feedback Dallas fans, greatly appreciated.

Bachman has actually recovered quite well since the frantic start tonight, and he proved last year he can be a very good goalie for this team. I do expect Nilstrop to start Sunday, but I believe these guys will rotate based on the hot hand. I doubt one plays much more than the other.

Bachman also hasn't been tested much in this period.

Dallas only has 20 skaters and 2 goalies on the active roster. They can call up Nilstorp without making a roster move.

If they do choose to put Lehtonen on IR, he'd miss a minimum of 2 games (Sunday and Thursday).

They need to call up or acquire a d-man. They can't go forward with this undersized group.

Gully was smart to keep the Goligoski-Larsen pair off the ice for almost the last four minutes. Those two couldn't have survived the end of game push from the Canucks.

I imagine Jordie will join the team as the #7. I just hope he doesn't get put in over Larsen. They need to mix up the pairs and let Daley bail out Goose/Larsen.

Well, if Benn does get promoted and activated, be prepared to not like who gets scratched.

I don't think so, based on Joe's quotes after sending Oleksiak down about Larsen getting play time. But who knows with Gully.
