I don't know the numbers in the AHL, but I remember hearing that while in the camp he was facing While for a five minutes face-off practice and that White didn't touch the puck once. Can't say that's going to be the norm for him in the NHL, be it at least shows his talent against a player who he's likely to replace if he ever gets called up.

He's ok in the AHL.

1. He's played well enough in his own end, works hard but isn't overly physical and doesn't create much in the way of offense.

2. He's looked better, he's certainly moving better out there (missed the last game).

3. Maybe for next year, not sure how he will fare on this team as I wouldn't have thought that Desjardins would struggle so much, guys like Leblanc, Palushaj, Holland, Quailer, Bournival would all struggle so much to produce offense. I was concerned about the Dogs having so many rookies on defense but didn't think they would suck this badly. So I don't know what to expect from Tokarski as this team is just not fun to watch and he's coming from playing on the top team in the AHL last year and a top 5 team this year to the worst team in the league so it should be interesting to see how that goes.

4. He's been solid in his own end, you often don't even really notice him as he keeps it simple and is effective.

5. I think Blunden could fill in but i don't think he would be a regular 4th liner for us.

agreed, I really want to see us improve our goalie prospect depth but I also really like a couple NCAA FA goalies (though several of them may not turn pro this summer but hopefully will the following) Of course if Timmins sees a goalie he likes in the 2nd then so be it, but if not i'm ok with not even drafting a goalie and just trying to find a FA to fill in as the 4th or 5th depending how Delmas does as I haven't watched him in the ECHL this year.

I don't see any relation here. There is 5 years between a drafted goalie and Tokarski. We have 3 2nds and it should still be the "default plan" to use one of them on a goalie. Tokarski will be gone - be it to NHL or elsewhere on his pro hockey journey - by the time a prospect drafted this year even enters the AHL.

But that said, you still have to have your rankings, and if there is a stack of Collbergs or whoever whom you might have rated much higher sliding down to you with your 2nds, the "default plan" may not be executed.

What Tokarski may affect for me is the additional plan to sign an older free agent goalie prospect. But I would continue with this year's evaluation of the pro goalie group first... see how Tokarski plays, see if any new hope is earned by Mayer. If Tokarski is so good that we start to see him as a real candidate to replace Budaj, that opens room. But at the other end of the spectrum too, if he's unimpressive, we may also still be looking at signing another pro goalie prospect signing. In no case would it affect my desire to draft an 18-year old goalie this summer, though.

Going to the Bulldogs game tonight, they have $10 tickets for the rest of the season so I thought I might as well get a few more games in.

Any word on if Tokarski will start?

Sounded like a great goal by Louis on his backhand.

3 straight wins and 4 of 5. Taking advantage of a 10 straight home games stretch!

A little bit more consistent. Leblanc stepped up. Dumont is capitalizing and Tenute has been a great signing for them.

Was a solid goal. Mayer and the Bulldogs got lucky on a few plays as you can see in the video.

Went to the game. Copps was half full. It was a good game but the second was pretty slow and the Dogs had almost no offense. Mayer looked shaky on a lot of the shots, he really needs to calm it down and especially needs to work on rebound control. The second goal he didn't have his stick down and the first goal wasn't the greatest rebound control but the defender should have been there to be fair.

Also, Stortini is definitely a fan favourite. Extremely slow but he actually created a few scoring chances, created havoc and made some big hits. Almost got the winner late in the 3rd too. Beaulieu looked decent but made some dumb mistakes. One of the funnier-but-could-have-been-scary moments happened when #58 on the Dogs tried to hop the bench early in the game to get onto the ice but his right leg didn't come fully over so he almost pulled a hamstring or something. He looked pretty embarrassed which was funny. Also, late in the 2nd or 3rd (forget which), one of the Hershey players knocked off the Bulldogs net (It was completely off and was obvious). Mayer realized this and started yelling at the ref and proceeded to lounge. About 20 seconds later, the ref finally realized and blew the play dead. Kinda sad it took that long to notice especially since the play was in the Bulldogs end.

One final note: The Bulldogs don't like forechecking. Almost always they would back up and when Hershey bobbled the puck (Which happened a few times), they only had one player to pressure it as everyone else was at the red line or their own blue line.

He was great last year in Montreal and Hamilton. He started off well this year, too but suffered a high ankle sprain and missed some time and just now started to pick his game back up. Sprains are worse than an actual break as the pain/discomfort lingers around.

Best way to see if Leblanc has a future is to see how he does next year. Clean sheet and hopefully injury free.

This makes me appreciate Chuckies performance at age 18 even more.
Louie is around 4 yrs older and no where ready for the NHL. I know injury is partly to blame, but the few times I saw Louie when healthy, he looked small and weak against the big boys. If he can make it to line 3 I would pop open the bubbly stuff. Chuckie will be line one for sure.

Depends when you saw him. If it was about a month ago, then yeah, he was pretty bad. Lately he's been better.
