Why are you guys giving him such a hard time? We're most likely not watching the same feed as you and he probably didn't think the announcers for FOX knew what was going on or whatever. Give him a break.
Also, Rome for Hart Trophy
Such a hard time? If you are going to post here you are going to need a thicker skin.
Also, I remember 2007 and do not like to see your team win, especially against my team. If you don't get the former, you should be able to understand the latter.
He played that exactly how he was supposed to. The goalie always plays the shot, the defensemen play the pass. Sedin has elite hockey IQ and if he sees the goalie playing the pass he will snipe it. Just because he doesn't do it often doesn't mean he can't.
Bachman has an excellent ability to read the play. If he didn't he would never have made it to the NHL as a small goalie.
You're not supposed to bite shot, and that's what he did. He left no room to get over to make the save. A great goalie will anticipate what will happen and leave room for the other option if he's wrong.
I can't agree about Bachman's hockey IQ. He doesn't read plays that well, often makes the wrong decision.

You haven't seen many games that he's started then.

Well, even a great goalie gets beat in that situation. Larsen, who is the worst defender on the ice tonight, did nothing on that play. He didn't get or really even make a good attempt at the pass, and he did nothing to get in the way of the shot. He was as useful defending that as us spectators at home. Bachman had no chance. You can't let a good shooter have a shot at a wide open net without the least bit of a challenge.
Even on that first goal they're replaying, Bachman flopped around like an idiot, but he wasn't helped by Larsen getting pushed around to see the Canucks get the puck back to get that crazy goal.
He made the same mistakes against Calgary. Over and over and over.
He had a nonexistent team in front of him that game.
He's not an elite goalie like Kari, but to say that he's a poor option is ignorant at best. If anything this should just show how much Kari bails the team out.

Calgary wasn't all on Bachman, but a lot was. There's nothing ignorant about that. Bachman was as nonexistent as the rest of the guys.

Bachman is a poor option with this kind of play. There are better goalies available on the waiver wire.
