They have been more stoppable this game. I thought Bachs was hung out to dry in Calgary, but he's equally to blame tonight.

Such a hard time? If you are going to post here you are going to need a thicker skin.

Also, I remember 2007 and do not like to see your team win, especially against my team. If you don't get the former, you should be able to understand the latter.

Bachman has an excellent ability to read the play. If he didn't he would never have made it to the NHL as a small goalie.
You're not supposed to bite shot, and that's what he did. He left no room to get over to make the save. A great goalie will anticipate what will happen and leave room for the other option if he's wrong.

I can't agree about Bachman's hockey IQ. He doesn't read plays that well, often makes the wrong decision.

I don't see how the second and third goals were stoppable... unless, like someone in earlier in the thread said, Bachman was bigger.

You haven't seen many games that he's started then.

Can't understand why Erin is questioning the fights. Makes no sense.

I've seen enough. It doesn't make sense he has this problem in nearly every game I see of his.

He's not starter material because of these issues. Poor reflexes and poor decision making.

Richard Bachman has poor reflexes?

Well, even a great goalie gets beat in that situation. Larsen, who is the worst defender on the ice tonight, did nothing on that play. He didn't get or really even make a good attempt at the pass, and he did nothing to get in the way of the shot. He was as useful defending that as us spectators at home. Bachman had no chance. You can't let a good shooter have a shot at a wide open net without the least bit of a challenge.

Even on that first goal they're replaying, Bachman flopped around like an idiot, but he wasn't helped by Larsen getting pushed around to see the Canucks get the puck back to get that crazy goal.

Bachman's reflexes and hockey IQ look bad because we're spoiled by Lehtonen who is absolutely spectacular in those categories.

He had a nonexistent team in front of him that game.

He's not an elite goalie like Kari, but to say that he's a poor option is ignorant at best. If anything this should just show how much Kari bails the team out.

I can't tell. He's so frequently out of position or flopping around that it's hard to tell what he reflexes are like.

Calgary wasn't all on Bachman, but a lot was. There's nothing ignorant about that. Bachman was as nonexistent as the rest of the guys.

Sorry, the post wasn't directed towards you. Fard-whatever said he had poor reflexes and hockey IQ.

Bachman is a poor option with this kind of play. There are better goalies available on the waiver wire.
