I'm still not convinced he's a viable backup for this team. He needs to stop the flopping and work on reading plays rather than staring straight at the puck the entire time. Maybe that will come with more experience or maybe he's just going to have to realize he CANNOT rely on this defense to make his job any easier, but I'd rather see Nihlstorp back in net before I want Bachman to be the stand-in starter if Lehtonen is out for an extended time.
He was good for a couple of weeks to fill in for Kari, but as the season went on, his play slipped.
Ya thats why I said what I did about him being better as a starter. Thus part of the reason I'm not as worried if Kari's out a few games. I think Bachman will play better with some consistent starts than he does in spot B2B duty.
