Goose's offensive minutes need to be taken by Dillon, honestly.

If Dillon keeps playing this way, it's going to happen much sooner than later.

Sitting Rome doesn't help the size issue. And Rome played much better than Goose or Larsen tonight.

So it's decided then, Goose should sit. If this game weren't against VAN, I would be willing to bet Rome's game would have been way worse.

He definitely had a better game but he also has huge consistency problems.

Goligoski is consistently bad

Also, Larsen was great on the PP. Easily the best PP defenseman.

Horrible everywhere else unfortunately. That's why the Dillon-Larsen pair is so damn good. They both pick up right where the other leaves off. Only Dillon can play offense better than Larsen can defend the front of the net.

I concur, overall Larsen was pretty bad tonight.

Even better, a good winger since you aren't likely to find a real #1 center anywhere, as Benn is.

Besides the questionable decisions with his hands and the puck, I really haven't had a problem with his game at all. I can think of one goal against Phx where I saw him just stare one in... since then he's been breaking up plays and hitting nicely. Seems to be really good defensively with the stick. Similar to Souray

The Dallas Stars are recalling goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp from Texas of the AHL.

As a COL fan I love this kid (and R. Smith). It's been a long time since there were Dallas players (Well not so long, LOVED Neal) that I liked to watch.

Hate seeing injuries hurt a team, Hope Nils or Bachmann can make up for the time Kari misses. He was having a magical year.

Good luck Dallas fans!

Daley's injury might be significant enough to miss games. They just re-assigned Jace Coyle from the ECHL to Texas. The logical assumption is they'll call up a D from Texas at some point.

EDIT: Forgot they only have 6 D right now anyway. They could just be calling up a 7th with no tie to the Daley injury.

Stars recall Jordie Benn and Matt Fraser from Texas Stars. Assign Tomas Vincour and Tom Wandell to Texas Stars.
Wow and hoo-****ing-ray !!!

I thought Morrow not playing most of the third may have been an injury or it could have been an equipment issue like Razor mentioned ..... Fraser getting called up has to mean that it was punishment or something. He played the final shift so he wasn't hurt.

Unless they are pushing Roussel out of the 3rd line line or Smith out of the 2nd line, Fraser would only logically be called up to replace Morrow on the first line.

There's no way right that they'd move Smitty down when he's scoring??? No ... that can't happen.

I have this feeling the Fraser call up is one of those try outs and then send back down for the weekend games for Texas. Still he has a chance.

While I would agree it would be silly to move Smith down, I'll almost never be surprised by what they do with the lines anymore.

Though..if Fraser and Smith both end up in the Top 6 and Morrow is scratched.....I think I may need to change pants.

Why would that mean punishment for Morrow? First, he actually played fine in my opinion. Second, if he was being punished he wouldn't of been put out there at the very end when they needed to score.

IDK ... I'm saying it was a weird situation yesterday, and he's the only logical person to come out for Fraser.

Now ... I agree he's playing well, and if that happens I'll be pretty shocked. I just can't see them benching anyone else .... I guess unless it's Ryder. Hmm ... maybe it will be Ryder.

It sucks, but Bluesoma is probably right. This just could be one of those boring (for fans) callups where he gets to experience the NHL without playing.

Morrow actually looked pretty good yesterday. Can't see him getting punished for anything.

I actually agree with this, I just hadn't previously considered Ryder. Morrow in my mind hasn't done anything to remove himself from the equation.

Txomisc, I think we have enough evidence that GMJN is done putting players in a bad position on the 4th line. To me, this is my least favorite token call up for the NHL experience without playing or this guy is getting a real look in a Top 9 position.

Wandell has to clear waivers, right?

Oh nvm, now I see they're using the Fabian Brunnstrom Memorial conditioning assignment loophole.

I've given up using logic to try to understand Gulutzan's decision making.

I disagree that Morrow has played well. He got benched because he is a gd turnover machine. I could score the goals he does standing in front of the net with Benn and Jagr.
