Canucks and their Cap Hit

Can someone clarify to me where they stand when Booth is back and what they have to do potentially if they are above the cap? Do they even have a problem or will they be fine?

What would they have to do potentially if they are against it.

Thanks

They are under the cap right now and will be under the cap once Booth returns.
We never put Booth (or Kesler) on the LTIR.

However, I think we have to send one player down to the AHL as we will be above the 23 man roster limit.

Neither Booth or Kesler have been or LTIR just IR so their cap hit has still counted against the cap. Just need 1 roster spot for Booth so someone will be sent down..probably Ebbett or Barker

The Canucks currently have about $840K in cap space with 24 men on the roster including Booth.

When Booth comes back, we will need to send someone down. I assume it will be Ebbet, which will save us an additional $600K leaving us with $1.44M in space. If we need to start using LTIR, we'll be able to use Maholtra's space of $2.5M to go over the cap by that much.

Good points. I know we have a lot of sweating to do in the off season but for now it was ok
