Sounds like he's not playing centre in BC, so it would probably be something like:

Morin - Jayes - Broadhurst; Been playing great lately, need to stay together
Smith - Pirri - Beach
Kayes - St.Pierre - McArdle
Paradis - Flick - Svendsen

Looks pretty good, though, they aren't making the playoffs (again).

“I’ll watch how he comes back from it and I’ll determine when he’s eligible to play for us again,” BC coach Jerry York said after Friday’s game.

Doesn't sound like it's too bad, whatever it was. Hawkaholic probably nailed it with lateness or skipping curfew.

don't think we should make a big story out of it. I would hope they sign him after this season and have him in the AHL next year reunited with his brother again.

The Icehogs are all over the Heat right now. 5-0 after the 1st period.

Clendeing 1G, 1A; Broadhurst 2A; Pirri 1G; Beach 1A; Hayes 1A; Morin 1A; Lalonde 1G.

The best part? The back-up for the Heat tonight is not a Pro hockey goaltender. Leland Irving wasn't there in time for the start of the game and they just brought in a random guy to back-up Brust.

Around the CHL today:

Garret Ross - 2G, 5Pts
Phillip Danault - 1A
Mark McNeill - 1A
Travis Brown - 2A

There's also a feature on Brandon Whitney up on the QMJHL's website. He's so freaking big in the net.

He definitely seems like a guy that could surprise. He's got size, can skate, can move the puck and he's solid in his own end.

Not looking as bad as it appeared earlier in year

Kent Simpson (ECHL) = 14-10-3 with 2.42 GAA / .906 Sv pct
Mac Carruth (WHL) = 25-5-2 with 2.02 GAA / .929 Sv Pct
Johan Mattsson (USHL) = 12-15-3 with 3.00 GAA / .909 Sv Pct
Brandon Whitney (QMJHL) = 22-16-6 with 3.11 GAA / .902 Sv Pct
Matt Tomkins (AJHL) = 20-13-6 with 2.60 GAA and .922 sv pct

Maybe the Hawks might find something in this group or maybe they dont but at least they are all playing better lately

Gotta remember that these guys were all drafted as longterm projects and are still young

Simpson/Carruth/Mattsson are all 20 yrs old
Whitney/Tomkins are both 18

Well you can look at those numbers that Matt Tomkins has and bump that SV% up to around .925, and bring his G.A.A down to under 2.50. 2 straight 40 + shot games, and allowed one goal combined against one of the highest scoring teams in the league. He shut us out 7-0 and beat us 5-1 yesterday with 89 combined shots in the 2 games. I had to know who he was because he was unbelieveable, and sure enough Matt Tomkins was drafted by the Hawks.

He plays for the Sherwood Park Crusaders, which is the middle of the pack team, but he's single handidly making them a contender in their division, mind you in a high scoring league. He looks like Mark Visentin in there. Good positionally, and very calm. Hope we can see him in Whitecourt for the playoffs!

Man, Carruth is doing a really solid job. I'm excited to see how he continues to progress.

we have a lot of decent goalie prospects...I am pretty darn sure one of these kids are going to step up and be that future #1 stud for us... Whitney, Simpson, Carruth, etc... hopefully we do the same this year and snag up another goalie or two mid to late rounds..

it is a numbers game and obviously the more you draft the better chance you have of hitting that homerun.

I know Carcillo is close to back but with Hossa injury I hope that Hayes gets a callup

Probably won't see anyone get called up. We'll likely see Shaw move to the wing and Kruger move up to the third line.

Saad - Toews - Stalberg
Sharp - Bolland - Kane
Bickell - Kruger - Shaw
Bollig - Mayers - Frolik

EDIT: Nevermind, forgot Carcillo will be back.

Teräväinen had an amazing pass to Jokerit's game winner in tonight's game against Espoo Blues. Video of the goal

On Saturday he scored Jokerit's first when Jokerit beat KalPa 4-1. Video of the goal

Can you tell me why Filppula is wearing a gold helmet while everyone else on his team is wearing a white helmet?

Mac Carruth with his 7th shutout of the season, 11th of his career last night. He is 27-5-0-2, 1.99 GAA, .931 SV%.
