Former All-Star and MVP Candidate Jair Jergens signs minor league deal with Orioles

Seems like a good fit pitching in the AL East. Can regain his former CY Young and MVP form???

ORIOLES SIGN RHP JURRJENS TO MINOR LEAGUE CONTRACT

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Jair Jurrjens and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The move was announced Friday, more than three weeks after the sides reportedly reached a deal.

Jurrjens, an NL All-Star in 2011 with Atlanta, is 53-37 with a 3.62 ERA in six major league seasons, five with the Braves. The 27-year-old right-hander was demoted to the minors last season, when he was hampered by a strained groin and finished 3-4 with a 6.89 ERA.

Jurrjens has a history of knee and groin injuries. Atlanta did not offer him a contract after last season.

Don't forget Rolaids Relief Man of the Year because he's going to pitch the 9th inning 162 times.

it was a troll thread, which martini isn't above starting, but i think i kind of kept the joke going by updating it as his season went on.

I have a feeling this season he will get 30 wins in the AL, NL and 70 saves (traded at the deadline to the Dodgers). Once he goes over to the NL and starts to hit, he will have 30 homeruns, 40 steals and Im feeling 12 triples.
