Kukkonen to Chicago

Chicago Blackhawks have signed with Sm-liiga's best defenceman, Lasse Kukkonen. I'll try to find some link to confirm this, but it's 100% sure.

Kind of strange, not to publish this move, as you can hear it from almost every source, the deal has been signed.

There's just one more link for a confirmation: http://www.forecaster.ca/hockeynews/...NHL&x_option=7

Great to see him signed.

We've got such a solid defense with all the young kids, seabrook, keith, barker and now, Kukkonen.

I'm hoping that Aucoin makes a return to form next year and provides the vetern leadership they need.

who does Kukkonen beat out to even make the top 6?

Cullimore won't be on the team next year. I would've liked to see Byfuglin get some NHL icetime. Kid has tons of potential.

Tallon has said he wants to acquire a UFA dman for the PP and has also stated that he expects Barker to make the team.

Maybe Barker could provide him with that help on the PP instead of signing another aging vet, but either way I think Cully is going bye-bye.

If Tallon does sign another D then replace Cullimore with him and that'll probably be what your D corps looks like.

Either way, that's a very young group offset only by Aucoin. Hopefully we don't get any soph slumps

Great to see him again in the NHL, I really hope he will manage to stay up and show his skills.
