He's just guessing based on how well Kari moved off the ice on his own. I would agree it's probably just a tweak.

The skeletal remains of Kari Lehtonen are out with a "groin tweak"

Just watching the highlights now. Some soft goals by Schneider for sure but it's nice to see R. Smith get a bounce to go his way finally. Eakin looked very solid, winning the faceoff on his goal and making a strong play entering the zone on the Roussel goal as well as being right in front of the net himself making a mess of things for the Canucks. Dillon's goal was nice and the pass that set that up is why I consider Benn a better playmaker/passer than pure goal scorer; that was a very Modano-esque rink-wide pass.

Goodness. Reading the Canucks post game thread, you'd think they had just lost their 7th in a row and that we were the absolute worst team in the league (if only).

Given the relative expectations and makeup of each team I'm pretty sure we'd be doing the same thing if roles were reversed. Heck, we talk **** about Columbus, Florida, etc. on a regular basis and our team hasn't been much better than theirs the last few years.

Columbus actually is the worst team in the league though. We're officially the Panthers of the West now though so will give you that.

Hardly find our forwards below average though as they've said over there.

Still don't know how we've won three of the past five games against them.

That was a heck of an entertaining game. Massive hits, great scoring chances, fights, and some dramatics late.

Take a bow kids. Pretty much everyone under the age of 25 on the Stars was fantastic.

I've given Fiddler a lot of **** on this board at times but he was a man tonight and a leader. That 4th line was flat out fantastic. Garbutt's drive really meshes well with Fids and Nystrom.

Roussell is everything I loved about Ott without the ridiculous antics. He can still get into penalty trouble on occasion but his motor is non-stop and he plays balls out. Love it and can live with the bad because his good is good for this lineup.

Jagr is hands down the best in the league I have ever seen at keeping the puck on his stick along the boards. Regardless of what happens this season his time on this team and in this locker room can only be positive for all of his teammates. What he's doing at 41 just isn't natural.

All hail Dallas scouts who got onto Dillon early his post draft year and convinced him Dallas was where he needed to be. Love to see him jump up on the play to score his goal. He's got a pretty good shot and a boost of confidence to be aggressive when the opportunity arises can only help his game. The kid is getting better by the game.

Eakin is relentless. That is all.

Eakin is playing like Kobe during the trial. Dude's straight up playing for his freedom, lol.

Just finished watching the game.. Awesome win. Seriously loving our bottom two lines right now. Roussell has been playing great, so much like Garbutt, Nystrom, Fiddler. Was a little weary about Roussell and Garbutt playing above Vincour earlier in the year, but I really like it now. Roussell brings some attitude that this team needs, despite what others think, I think his style will pay dividends. I actually thought Rome looked pretty good out there tonight as well, sans the one play where he closed his hand on, and threw the puck. Besides that play it really seems like our D need to start adjusting to how tightly the interference off the chip ins are being called. Busted multiple times but still do it all the time, granted the refs have been fairly inconsistent calling it.

Other observations.... Happy to see Smith get a goal, Eakin another. Still like how are first line has been playing, creating chances. Morrow has played much better, still making some mistakes, but seems to be getting his confidence back each game. Hope Kari is going to come out alright....

hahah jagr got First star of the game over Henrik's franchise record setting point/!?!?!?!? What a strange first awarding. Was his power move at the end of the game that awesome to give him the first star? Zero points and 2 shots gets star of the game over Henrik Sedin who sets the franchise record for most points as a canucks. LOL

I am all for a victory song! Please something better than the Flyers victory song..

You guys should find a dallas or texas based rock band and use one of their songs, similar to what the Flyers did with that song.

Also you want to know who won us the game? Garbutt, Fiddler & Nystrom. They absolute destroyed the crowd, i've never seen anything like that. After Henrik set the record, the crowd did not stop buzzing for over 3 straight minutes, that was at 10:00 left in the 2nd when they scored. The fights happened 5 minutes later and like i said, those 3 fights destroyed the atmosphere. Before the fights you could tell this was going to be all Vancouver and it wasn't going to be pretty. Our godlike goalie goes out with an injury, and after letting up 7 goals our back up comes in and almost plays perfectly!

What a fun game to watch.

The standing ovation:

Here are the fights:

I saw Dallas posted the game in 6 minutes on Twitter ... or maybe it was Mark ... regardless you should be able to find it now.

This is just as sweet the next morning. This is the first time I felt like Dallas was a different team. In any other season since 2008, they would have caved and given up. Like Hull Fan said, I too give Fids **** mainly for him playing up the lineup. His band of merry linemates have been amazing since playing a 4th line role ...and now Dallas is actually rolling 4. Both lines are getting decent minutes in the Bottom 6, and that's how it should be.

Honestly, despite being in total shock of the debacle in Calgary, I was impressed with how well the skaters fought back. They played piss poor that entire game, and I'm not about to hang that loss entirely on Bachman ... but they did show some life and at least claw back into that game.

Like Lobo pointed out last night... they're 2 games shy of having played half of their road games. I couldn't be more surprised than how they handled this nightmare stretch to start the season. Seems like that 4 game stinker early on was so long ago.

Now they just need to keep plugging away at home like they have in the first 5 games. These next 14 home games out of 20 should make or break the year ... and I'm actually feeling a bit optimistic now.

Pretty sure he was given 3rd star behind Henrik and Dillon. At least that's what it was during the post game show.

Another thing, a lot of Canuck fans said that was the most entertaining game they've had this season so far. It definitely was entertaining, no doubt, but I feel like that's the 3rd or 4th game we've had like that this year. The first Detroit game has been the most exciting this season so far. The last thing I would call this team is boring.
