It's a combination of his poor play this season and Habs fans obession with SIZE!!!!!

He has been playing much better recently, but patches is still mia, and Cole is marginally better. The whole two and a half men line was a mess, they've been split and magically, dd is playing much better.

Seriously, where's max?

Dime a dozen type is a Ryan White. A 3rd liner who can score 16 goals for about 1Million isnt as easy to find.

But that defeats the goal of trolling hab fans I guess.

Start with Lapierre, then add either a good prospect or a 2nd and I would be interested.

I think it's hard to move Eller. He's 23, cost quite a bit for Montreal, is cost controlled for a while and there is potential there. But at the same time he's on the lower end of the third line spectrum when it comes to offense. Is there really much more potential there?

But all it takes is one GM that is convinced a change of scenery is what is needed here.

You're wrong. He's a right handed center with much better face off skills than all of our centers. Plus we'd get to see him + Gallagher + Prust drive Phaneuf nuts. That's a big plus

Eller isn't dime a dozen. Just not sure his last year's SH% is sustainable...

Halak would've looked great on the Leafs but they didn't have anything nearly worth Eller to trade that year.

5 year rebuild going strong.

Some fans want a first others want a 2nd and a good prospect etc all are to rich and we already traded this years second and I wouldn't give up a 2nd for Eller not that he isn't worth it but he isn't to us.

Yeah there's lots. Watch him play. He's fast as hell a tenacious forechecker. Good hands and nice shot. He put on what appears to be lots of muscle in the offseason too he's built like a brick $%^%house.

He's got a more than enough of a skill set to make it as a second line center in my opinion. Watching him I see 50 point ability for sure.

What he's lacking is opportunity not ability. We have a bit of a logjam at center I wish Lars was more comfortable on the wing it'd be easier to slot him higher in the lineup. I think him and Galchenyuk could do well together.

Therrien has been putting him out there in key situations...end of games/PK etc.

I seriously don't think the Habs are looking to deal him and it's just media driven BS.

The people in here talking about trading Plekanec are lunatics. We'd be up #%^ creek without a paddle without that man. I hope he retires a Hab.

I wouldn't take less than a first for Eller.

I just see Calgary wouldn't even offer a second. Lol more lunacy.

Any team in the league would want this guy.

Eller isn't going anywhere except overpayment people that don't watch the habs cannot understand what he can bring to a team.

1st pairing pk guy 3rd line with still 2nd line potential.

Look what Manny Malhotra got 3 millions per.

He doesn't throw big hits but he's extremely physical along the boards and has well above average cycling skills. He's the type of centre that can slow down the game in the offensive zone, good for heavy wingers.

Not in the tough-guy forechecking sense no, not at all. But he's big and built like a truck this year especially.

Not at all. Whenever he tries to be it's a mess. He is your prototypical defensive center with some offensive qualities. If you meant is he hard to move away, yeah I guess so. He just doesn't use his body as efficiently as a power forward should. Not being a winger at all, it's understandable that it would take some time to adjust.
