Absolutely fantastic, this player is quickly becoming criminally underrated.

I agree. He's been on an absolute tear since the WJC's, and has easily been one of the best draft elligible players in the world over that period. He surpassed Olli Jokinen's records for points for a draft elligible player as well.

Looks like Adam Erne's production has fallen off. Probably couldn't fight the jinx when a poster hyped him here. He's going in reverse.

Sept - 6pts 4 games
Oct - 18pts in 11 games
Nov - 11pts in 12 games
Dec - 15pts 11 games
Jan - 9pts 10 games
Feb -3pts 7 games

The "Reverse Datsyuk". Unreal move.

If he doesn't go at 3, someone is getting an absolute steal.
I'd trade a nice package to grab this guy. He really just has so many tools, and is years beyond his age in his game.

Grabovski's patented fake spinorama is lateral and it counted. The refs actually allow a ton of lateral movement, of both the skater and the puck. It would've counted.

But that's irrelevant, because it was still a damn sexy move.

It was a lateral move that was why it was ok, it was close but the refs probably made the right call. Still I would call that a play of patience, not really sick talent. All he did was outwait the goalie. Nothing sick about his mitts on display to me.

Strongly disagree, goalies don't just flop around on their own anymore.

Also, does anybody have any comments to make about Jimmy Lodge of the Saginaw Spirit? He's looking like a real riser (some could see him as a better prospect than Bailey/Kujawinski).

Lodge is #74 on my friend's list.

I've seen Lodge a few times.

I like his game, though nothing about it REALLY stands out. For a guy in the 160-170lb range, he has no problem going to the net, and he seems to have good hands in tight. I've seen him score with his stick almost standing straight up, so he can work in tight spaces. He also has a pretty accurate shot from the top of the circle toward the net. He would be a nice pick to let develop.

He needs to fill in, but he's still growing.

With the injuries we have and if we don't show signs that we could win consistently then I truly hope we write of the year and get our #1 centre in this draft.

I would kill for Monahan or Barkov.

I find it crazy that a guy with Barkov's blend of size and raw talent, and his play since the WJC, can see a drop in draft rankings.

It doesn't make ANY sense.

unreal eh? Someone in the Barkov thread called it a reverse Datsyuk. I'd say it's got a Datsyukian flavour to it.

Edit: You said that lol. I missed it because of some more...uselessness haha.

Agreed. Especially since he's just broken FEL records for a player of his age.

And he literally has only one weakness to his game, a weakness that he's already focused on hugely and made better and very likely will continue to focus on. A weakness that isn't even a terrible weakness, just more of a "he could work on this".

I still love him.

Barkov is unreal.

And of course Interactif will be the contrarian...

A rare case where the "safe pick" may have the most potential moving forward.

I watch him play and I honestly think he's right there with Drouin/MacK to get picked first for forwards.
