So stepehns actually said that Perry is most likely leaving?
From what I READ into what Stephens said on NHL live is that Perry is far off from what BM wants. And will likely walk. However, we are close with Getzlaf since he knows what he's worth and has a family here. That's what I took from the NHL live interview.
Did eenok write this for you? I'm totally confused on what you are trying to say here. Can you separate exactly what Stephens said from what your opinion is?
Pretty much I was drunk while watching NHL live and just went "oh crap" Stephens is on NHL Network so I decided to post it lmao

i wonder if its perry asking for too much or BM not offering enough.
perry also took awhile to sign here after getzlaf resigned during the season (referring to the 5.3x5 they signed that year) i think perry signed after the season ended close to free agency wasn't it?
maybe perry's agent is indeed an ass.. i guess we'll see. if perry is asking for anything above 8 then i say we trade him

The reason Perry signed later than Getz (according to the press) was that they had to free up enough money under the cap to sign his deal. Not really related to him wanting more money.
If Perry wants more than Getzlaf then he will be gone. they are both intregal in each others success, they both have the chance to break numerous team records and ultimately get their numbers hung up. I still don't think Perry want's to play in a market under intense scrutiny, i'd be pretty afraid of Detroit signing him won't lie....close to home has lots of money, not to much of a fishbowl. we'll see how much he values living in socal
I just tweeted Stephens and he said nothing new. Agents and murray keeping everything close to vest. I imagine he was just speculating on NHL network like we are. Probably same thing. Ducks will make Getz priority over Perry if it comes down to choosing one. But goal is to sign both.

Yah it was nothing to write home about. But it was the usual questions and answers to Stephens via NHL live. And it sounded like we are far off from Perry signing. Like I said, that what I took from the interview.
the rumour for getzlaf's contract was 60m. the word was 8 years 60m worth 7.5 per.
i really hoped getzy would sign that..
He most likely will. If anyone watched the enthusiasm in Stephens voice regarding Getz being resigned versus Perry they would interpret what I have mentioned a post ago
So Getz is signed at the deadline and Perry is not.
If you are Bob, I think you go to him and ask what team he wants to go to and talk about a sign and trade deal. That way the Ducks can get a little more and Perry also gets what he wants.
Well see...

It's his fricken agent man! O'Reily and PK Subban are with Newport Sports management. And there agent is an ******* im sorry but
This needs to be stated mods. And perry is also signed with Newport Sports. Excuse my temper but this is complete ********. Mark Guy from Newport Sports if your reading this your an idiot if you pull Subban or O'rielly stunt with us.
Just really fricken pissed off with Newport Sports management. Excuse my language and temper I'm sorry.

Meh, Subban wasn't that much of a stunt, the Habs lowballed him pretty good and the deal he signed really wasn't great. These guys unfortunately gambled to sign after the lockout ended, and as a result, teams wanted to end the huge second contracts given out, so they paid for it.
As far as basing speculation on what Stephens said, meh. Stephens is a great beat writer, especially when compared to the guy who apparently covers us for the LA Times and doesn't seem to know much about hockey, but as an investigative reporter, he doesn't do a whole lot. Maybe it's because Murray and Co. play things close to the chest, but he's definitely not like a Mike Russo. I imagine he doesn't have a great idea on what's going on, just odd rumblings and intuitive speculation.

If he has A team he wants to go to and he's being a mercenary he won't agree. There's no reason to weaken the team you're going to by forcing them to give up valuable pieces. I've never understood why anyone would think a player would agree to that - they still want to win with their new team. They've already said they have no loyalty when they tell you they're leaving.

If Perry pulls a O'reilly or Subban I say trade his ass. And I hope I don't get banned for saying this, but I want to punch Mark Guy in the face if he pulls something like this.
Sorry mods I'm just frustrated the way Newport Sports is negotiating its players.

Then stop saying crap like that. Saying "I hope I don't get (a reaction from the mods)." is a sure way to get one.

Honest to goodness, is it really a realistic thought considering Anaheim's recent history with Detroit? I mean, I'd love him on the team and all... But... It's kind of like imagining Derek Jeter in a Red Sox uniform. A little more extreme, but you get my point I hope.

i doubt he'd have that in mind.. if detroit offers him a good offer why wouldn't he take it. they're a competitive team. well coached and its near his home (where he's from).
