Those five games in Philadelphia struck something in him and he's been on a tear ever since.

Stolarz just gets more and more impressive. I know his numbers aren't world beater (2.40 GAA and a .919 Save Percentage), but he's picking up things in London and he's only going to benefit more from having a full training camp there and getting a chance to spend the off season with his teammates. I expect big things from Stolarz next season.
Thanks

But I do not see how we can sign all these players with the lower cap number. But I have to admit that is a nice lineup.
Who are you signing besides perry? If you buyout Briere, you could make it work. Jones would be on an ELC. Maybe you trade Meszaros at the draft.

The only way we should buy-out Briere is if we replace him (ie: Perry)

It's going to be tough replacing those four points of offense, with absolutely no defense to speak of. If only we had a Knuble, or a Fedotenko... hell, I'd even take a defenseman like Foster. The three together would make half of Briere, and almost quadruple his production!

I'd bet a fair amount of money Briere gets bought out at the end of the year. Looking at it from salary cap stance, it just makes sense.

1 roster spot is more valuable than 3. Every year we get on Briere's case and he redeems himself in the playoffs. Hopefully we can actually make the playoffs this year...

well if your looking to make a coaching change and a philosophy in how they play you would think that Briere would be one of the first players to go.

Right now, Schenn is number two C ahead of Couturier. Then I thought what it would be like to have Couturier centering two of Laughton/Cousins/Noebels as the third line

Playing Laughton on the wing is a waste. His value is in his two-way play much like Couturier. Putting him on the wing is taking that away. I'm all for Laughton playing another year in the OHL. He'll get a chance to be the lead dog with Jenner gone, possibly captain the team, and hopefully play a role in the WJCs. It will also give the Flyers more time to sort out the center situation. Currently the Flyers have Giroux, Briere, Schenn, Couturier, and Cousins as primary centers. Now someone might be moved, but for arguments sake, there's no rush to have him play a 4th line role. Giroux, Briere, Schenn, and Cousins are guys that could move to the wing, but have shown to be most productive playing the center position.

Not when you're playing in a capped league. But if we're talking Shea Weber, then I'd agree with you.

I think cousins will be a winger and Briere will be gone soon but that's still 3 centers for top 6 roles.

Cousins' size suggests he's a winger, but my point is he's been most productive as a center and its not known how he'll adjust to the wing. Some guys thrive on working the middle of the ice and playing in space.

Yet Cousins projects to be a depth player. Could he just be a late bloomer?

He's been a PPG player since his draft year. Not exactly a late bloomer.

The only reason Cousins projects to be a depth player is because he has no shot. He's a very similar player offensively to Voracek. I don't think Cousins gets enough credit for his offensive game though because he's an excellent puck handler and his vision out there is second to none. He's very adept in the playmaking department. It's also funny to read how his skating isn't that great. Cousins skating is fine. He's not a burner or anything like that, but his skating is very solid.

I also like the fact that Cousins has been challenged by his coach to cut out the antics and to be the best player he can be. His previous coach allowed him to get away with the garbage antics, but Keefe has pushed him to be a better player in all three zones and to focus on the game on the ice and not worry about being a pest.

Been ready play by plays on twitter. Seems to not be playing bad just goal wise nothin going in. Had an end to end rush last game where the goalie made a great save. His slapshots are crazy hard but right now their missing or being saved.

i hope everything works out in cousins personal life cause i have a feeling he'll be a very good 3rd liner (with the ability to jump up) in the NHL

He's got 93pts (23g and 70a) in 56 games. should be at least another what 10 games left in the season? he should break 100. His +/- has also greatly improved (i know it's not a very good stat)

laughton has 49pts in 39 games and he's 4 assists away from tying his career high in all categories, all in 25 games less then last season.

Taylor Leier now has 45pts in 52 games which is a great improvement from the previous year with substantially less games played. He's set a career high in goals and his +/- is also up from the previous year.

Colin Suellentrop has set a new career high in pts (23 vs 14) in 11 less games played.

overall i know the season isn't over but it's nice to see some improvement from these players year to year.
