Schroeder is better player that much is certain not sure why poll needed, Magnus is what he is, a defensive player with a bit of offense when given opportunity

Right now Schroeder is the better player, and probably has a higher potential as well.

Toss up imo, I'm a huge MPS fan and think he'll be the better player in the future but also is a riskier player. Schroder is a safer choice but lower potential. Forgetting team need and position and stuff I'll say MPS, by a hair.

Schroder is playing better ATM though, I just want to see him do a full year + playoffs to evaluate him fully

schroeder is playing 3C on a top team. MPS is a healthy scratch for one of the worst teams.

completely different types of players, can't expect them to have the same development path. Although I'm extremely happy with our 22nd overal pick being arguably better than the 10th

you're right, they are completely different players with schroeder playing the tougher role and he still has a roster spot.
my point remains unchanged

I'm just saying that a player like MPS generally will develop slower, although at 10th overal they should of expected him to make the jump a little quicker, but I am still confident he will.

MPS became a bust offensively as a top-6 forward but he will probably become a very valuable 3rd liner. Hes big, fast and can get the puck deep. A player like Schroeder is a bit of a tweener IMO.
He wont be good enough to play in the top-6 and wont be tough/defensive enough to play 3rd/4th minutes.

MPS ainec, Schroeder is to small and bad defensively to be a #3 c and not skilled enough to be a second liner.

Says the Oiler fans about a Canucks player. Just love it. Hfboards.com ftw.

Schroeder already is a 3rd line center and looks very good defensively.
