Corrado had a fight against Mitchell Heard today. No clue how it went. Will update if I see a video or anything about it.

Haven't seen it, but read that Heard made short work of him, and put him down with a couple of punches. A TKO or knock down win for Heard.
No other info. It looks like Heard is a more experienced fighter though, and maybe Corrado bit off more than he could chew. Still a good sign to see he's willing to defend himself (as long as he doesn't get hurt).

Haven't seen him play at all... only what i've read. Sounds like a less offensively talented Jaden but plays a fiestier game, has a pro calibre shot, not a great skater and not that great defensively. Some attribute that to just average hockey sense.

Heres a list put out recently for WCHA+CCHA: http://www.westerncollegehockeyblog....-the-ccha-wcha

Another guy on that list is Shayne Taker, whom we had at Prospects camp. A Vancouver boy, a big defensive defenseman who can play physical. Something we are missing from our defense group, so he also could be a target they are looking at.

EDIT: Another prospect camp invitee that could be a target is Jeremy Langlois. If the game Gillis was rumoured to be at, it was Yale Vs Quinnipiac (Feb 2) so he would have seen Langlois as well. Quinnipiac is the top team in ECAC this year and a big part of it is because of Langlois, leading the team in points, goals and assists, and a 3rd best +/-. He started with roller hockey, started on the wing but the coach recognized how smart he was and moved him to center in the past 3 years. His coach states that he is the best defensive forward he has ever coached. He is known for a high compete level and good work ethic on the ice.

Myron has another goal and also an assist. Mallet has a lone assist. Based on these early results, I can see why maybe Myron felt like he wasn't quite getting the opportunity he deserved.

make that a hatty and an 1 A now. He's 4 goals away from last years total in 22 less games played.

Gaunce has been very solid since coming back from that injury.

Jordan Subban also had a Hat-trick, he's putting up very good numbers this year.

McEneny +2 and an assist.

Myron with another assist! Now has 2 goals and 4 assists in 6 games. Also has 4 shots on the night. Very encouraging!

Mallet also picked up an assist on that goal so he has 2 in this game. Sauve was the one that scored.

Sauve wins it in OT for the K-wings, Myron and Mallet with the assists.

Myron 1G 2A tonight and 2G 4A 6P in 6GP.

Mallet 2A, 9G 13A 22P in 31GP

Sauve 1G , 4G 2A 6P in 12GP

Sauve seems like the AHL version of Aaron Rome. Get sent down to lower level and score a bunch of goals.

What's Myron's skill set like? I've never seen him play so it's hard to get a read based on his numbers in the BCHL or college.

Corrado is +20 in 16 games. How ridiculous is that?

Too bad he was on a rather crappy Sudbury team or he would be up for CHL defenseman of the year (although he wouldn't win it).

Excellent start so far. Maybe he gets a callup for the Wolves who are short on forwards! Or maybe Mallet?

But I wouldn't say he didn't get the opportunity he deserved at BU. As an incoming freshman he got a good spot as the 3C and ample icetime to make an impression to take a top 6 spot, except he didn't show or produce enough to take a top 6 spot away from Danny O'Regan who showed he belonged in the top 6 and produced like a top 6 forward on that team. Whatever the issue there was with BU, seems like he's adapted to the ECHL rather seamlessly.

Yeah, anyone have a report on his playing style? I don't remember seeing him the times I went to Clippers games against the Grizzlies and I haven't seen any ECHL hockey this year.

Nice to see Gaunce pick up a bunch of points tonight. I haven't talked to him in a while, I gotta say he'll either fit right in with Vancouver media or he won't be able to handle it, I talked to him after games a couple times and he seemed like he hated talking about hockey. I talked to him once about personal stuff and he seemed to like talking about that more.

Surprised at Myron's start in the ECHL - definitely didn't see that coming. Wonder if he can keep it up.
